Moving to Riverbank. Want info on High School!

Hello

My family may be moving down to Riverbank because of my husbands job. We have 3 kids, one in high school and one in 4th grade. I wanted to get information on the schools and neighborhoods in Riverbank. I have to admit my first choice was moving to Oakdale. But it seems the houses are more affordable in Riverbank.

Can I get some thoughts on the high school? Is there really only one high school the kids go to? Any and all info and thoughts are welcome. Thanks!

If you move to the Crossroad area you will be in the Modesto City schools district(highschool) and Sylvan School District (elementary) and your kids will be able to go to Enochs High School and Crossroads Elementary. They are both brand new, and scored high. My kids like attending these schools.

my daughter attends Enochs high school and loves it. It offers quite a a few clubs (seems like there's something for everyone to promote student involvement), and they even have a large forensic science department. We live in the crossroads area which is the sylvan school district and I recommend the area and the school district for Riverbank.

I would recommend Escalon or Oakdale. Escalon has a Mayberry sort of feel to it. Low crime area. Riverbank is known for the gang population. My daughter and nephew just got jumped at the Jack in the box by two cars of Latinos there in Riverbank. Stopped at the drive through a car hit them trying to get to the front first. When they got out of their car the two cars of young hispanic males beat them. It was horrible!
