restored 67 Austin healey 3000 mark 3
installed 3/4 race cam, 2ea 2 barrels, six speed transmission, chrome wire knock offs with Michelin's gave a smooth ride, painted a beautiful OEM Red color with black leather.
The car was pre epa regs so I had straight pipes with resonators in the back to knock down dampen the exhaust sound on the streets.
the car was silent at 70MPH breathing just right all you could hear was the wind going by but at 140 MPH the sound was great the car roared to let you know it was there.

I enjoy looking and appreciating them. I have no special love for investing in one. It sometimes is not a good investment as a home may not be an investment. If you enjoy it, do it. I love working on vehicles and especially fabricating parts for anything. I'd almost rather work on other's vehicles. To me a vehicle is an appliance now. It has to pay for itself in functionality.
