go to Trenton, Riverview, Wyandotte. I wouldn't be caught dead in Ecorse...It's like River Rouge. The crime there is about the same as in Detroit. Also, it has rogue cops and a shady cover to the city.

It's always been a racist city. Look at the past riots
from the 30's to the 60's.

That piece of shit town will never repopulate and if it does, it will be by an element devoted to running a once proud and prospering city into the fucking ground (think Kucinich and Cleveland) Decents citizens wilk not be returning nor should they. Poverty is the biggest selling point for real estate in that town, far too many shitty, dingy, piece of fuck, rundown clapboard row houses. Commercial exposure and educational system are abyssmal. As for the remaining decent citizenry, YES become active in local government and reclaim your neighborhoods. You have to get fucking involved as your city is on a continual downswing. It sure wont gentrify anytime soon because no one wants to roll the goddamn dice and iinvest in Dystopia, so the silver lining to your shitcloud is affordable housing will remain a reality. Im almost moved by some of the previous posters comments, but personally at the risk of being crass, if that town were a human being, I wouldnt piss on it if its head caught ablaze. Best of luck Ecorsairs.

I'm from Australia and am about to buy a parcel of forclosed homes in Ecorse.
One reason for this is the high demand for cheap rental properties here.

Well-done and as they say, good on ya. There damn sure is a good buck to turn in that area if you know what you're doing. You're (all), the income property owners, the closest thing to benefactors that town has. And now that there are sweeping policies of urban reform and civic rectitude, your return should be fuckin juicy. You let me know when it happens, The Foster's and Vegemite are on me.

O great, just what we need is more rental properties. We don't have enough now. We need more renters to finish tearing down this town.

Ecorse is 80% white trash and kneegers. I feel sorry for the few civilized people that reside there. The city is broke as a joke. Its a little safer than Detroit but I wouldn't wanna live there.

Don't move to Ecorse. I grew up in River Rouge. Spent time in Ecorse. Used to be a nice, clean, and safe place to live. It isn't anymore. Way too much crime. I got out of there when I got married. Moved, to better, safer place. I miss the places I grew up in, but they just aren't there anymore.
