I remember in ohio around 1976 at high school they had run film on alcohol and how it can ruin lives,i myself never drank until 18 in air force. I never drank straight alcohol.i remember guy next door used to guzzle jack daniels out of bottle till getting sick.i wonder if he is still alive.30+ years ago. I kind of sympathize that this officer may have ruined his career.but we r responsible for our own actions. I was never an alcoholic. Mostly social but if u overload at bar it can be tragic. Many lives have been lost because of alcohol related causes. Designated driving is option or getting plastered at home on day off.moderation can be hard for many unfortunately.
