Home permits at strongest start since 2007 in metro Detroit
Permits for new single-family homes in metro Detroit are off to their strongest start since 2007, suggesting that last year's rebound in residential construction might carry over into this year.

The housing start map looks wrong in the right direction. It shows 32 permits for Detroit, but none for Livonia, Redford, Southfield, Northville and a bunch more. That doesn't meet the eyeball test. Maybe the numbers are wrong.
