made another poor choice staying in Detroit they could have moved to Gary IN or any place would have been better than staying in the waste land that was Detroit.

Actually, Detroit made an excellent choice considering that they would like a few more losing seasons as they scarf up a few more good draft picks.

As long as it pays enough to buy a vacation condo on Singer Island, all is good. And the Lions typically have looooong offseasons uninterrupted by playoff appearances, so lots of away time.

Have to drive through Riviera Beach, in order to get on and off Singer Island....too close to Detroit with boats and a beach.....

William Clay died today. This is significant from a financial standpoint with the Lions. He could not sell the team without paying taxes on the increase in value from the time he bought the team. Now that he died, the team can pass to the heirs at the "stepped-up value" as of today with no tax on the gain. So the question is whether young Ford will sell or continue to lose.

Ford provided a nice retirement for many coaches and GMs. Sure he wanted to win, just had no clue. People took advantage of him. He passed his genes on to junior.
