Metro Detroiters hoarding Twinkies, Ding Dongs as Hostess seeks to shutter
Southgate -- Customers came out to the Hostess Brands Inc. outlet here to stock up on their Twinkies, Ding Dongs, Ho-Ho's and more after the announcement Friday the snack-maker would be going out of business.

Most likely another company will buy rights to make hostess products since they still have some popularity. Very unlikely this brand will be absent for long.

The Canadian version still exists and has no financial problems. Yes the name will continue here in some form. A friend gave me a bag of knock off brand chocolate rolls. Sugar is sugar for those who need a fix like I do.
