Why did it burn so badly? Isn't the R.R. Fire Department right across the steet?

Here, I'll explain it so even an Ecorse High grad can understand it. Bar + fire + alcohol + natural gas = big fire!!! Besides, RR Fire Dept does its best work on Rouge Days against Ecorse Fire Dept in the Water Ball Fight.

And thats why all the good people hang out in Da Rouge, so they can get drunk and kill their girlfriend then burn down the bar. Must be a social climber like you. He made it to Kentucky where no doubt your family turned him in for the reward. No wait a minute, your family has full time jobs carring a leaf blowers out there.

The people involved weren't hanging out , they worked in Rouge. Wow ! personal and racial attacks. You can take the "boy" out of Ecorse but you can't take the "Ecorse" out of the boy. Moving a couple cities away doesn't automatically give you any class. By the way i have a guy i pay to do my yard and he uses the leaf blower not me. I might have a job for you to if your tired of standing in line at the un-employment office.

A little background for ya Skippy. I Retired from a very prominent Aerospace Company. Lived in Torrance, in the Hollywood Rivera area at the base of Palos Verdes for 30 years. I too employed the "browns" to care for my landscaping. We came home to care for Family and Friends. As far as being a Graduate from Ecorse High, you can't touch my education or how far it has enriched my life and that of my family. As city neighbors, perhaps you cn remember just where you went at Christmas time or the 4th of July in years past. True both our cities have seen great decline for many years, yet I am here trying to help. Will you do the same? And by the way I do miss the surf. Do you miss the Green and the Water in this Great state of Michigan?

All right Red Raider, Skippy here. Your background is quite impressive and yet puzzling too. My thoughts on your retirement back to MI is that its probably due more to the lower cost of living than anything as noble as leading the downriver back to prosperity. I moved out here to care for family and did so at great sacrfice. I will admit the area did make things bearable. As for missing Mi , obviously i wouldn't be on this forum if didn't. I have deep roots in RR and many friends that i still visit every few years. My father was killed at the main blast furnace at Great Lakes so I guess i have some roots in Ecorse too. Maybe if your sincere about helping out you shouldn't come on this forum and take pots shots at my home town when yours is the one thats all over the news. By the way, Southgate ain't Ecorse!!
