A businessman who held contracts at Detroit's convention center said Monday he was a "hostage" who felt compelled to pay thousands of dollars to then-Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his father or lose work.

And to think Bernard used to work for airport. All of this has to be connected.look at corruption there that has cost citizens millions. The turkey awadar episode just helped expose it. This region really has budget problems helped by greedy selfish decisions , voters never knew.and this retirement promises ficano started has put it further in debt.
