Wow......the public school system is producing grads more ignorant than previously thought.
Free hint to the clueless.......the police are not even required to respond to an emergency call,(i.e are not liable) let alone care for a homeless perosn.....and you think the city is liable for his death? Come back when you actually have facts......not ignorant speculation.

The SCS police have one of the laziest departments around, it's amazing how the residence reward them when they ask for millage renewals. EMS & Fire are proven professional and have carried the police long enough.

PD and Fire millage will be separate next election. Fire will pass PD will fail. Dont try that "we might not get there" line of B.S., not getting there now! If you cant get there go some other city and not get there.

Product of the public school system? How stupid can you be? You certainly are not the brightest bulb in the marquee. It is a port-a-john at a frikkin boat ramp. How much activity does one expect at a boat ramp when there is 2 feet of ice on the lake? Those things have a capacity for hundred of uses......just how many uses are expected from Nov-Mar?
Obviously "FumbDuck" has never been ice fishing. They don't crap out on the ice my friend, only unload the beer they drink while fishing when out there.

And obviously did have the urge to use the "facility" for all those months. The last thing they want to do is strip off all the layers in wone of those port-a-johns.....thus they don't get used frequently in the winter.

Excellant sentence structure, spelling, and editing of your post "FumbDuck". One of those union taught, public school grads I would assume. Damn shame the whole country isn't at your intellectual level, and shares your style of civil discourse. We would be a problem free nation with peace and harmony amongst all the citizens.

Soooooooooooo what you're saying is the company let the city keep the toilet over the winter no charge .

Who made the decision and approved it ? Is it child safe ? Do things as this have to happen before changes are made ?

When is SCS going to hire people with common sense ?

They said he was living in there. So really... he wasn't technically homeless. And he did have a bathroom in his house.

Add a person to the city payroll with the position of porta potty inspector? That make sense.....just what we need another union hack getting a pension.
Why is it stupid people like "greg" want government to do everything for them?

By next council meeting Erin Stahl should have her own investigation underway. Lots of graphs showing the number of port-a-johns versus how many people die in them. Plus pictures of the location and maybe even the inside of the one in question. She'll get all emotional about it but will ultimately blame Curt Dumas for the death. That if he hadn't mis-used the DPW scrap metal money there would have been money to put a new padlock on the door. She'll ask for the Michigan State Police to come in to prove her conspiracy theory. Possibly demand DNA testing to determine who else used this port-a-john. Stay tuned and see how Erin tries to make it hit the fan.

Why is it stupid people like Clueless wait until people die in a port-a-jon before they remove it during the off season, next time it may be a child or maybe a homicide floating in the waste.

The people who are in charge having a hard time understanding the residence have seen this city plastered on the news too many times, and we are getting tired of it. I propose to eliminate the employees who are having a hard time understanding the responsibilities that will create a safe place to live in and to fulfill the tasks they were hired to complete.

The residences of the apartment building adjacent to the field this homeless man was living in will tell you he was there all summer living in a tent he had made.

The posts above defending the cities decision to leave the port-a-jon on site during the winter months must be the same people doing nothing and collecting a tax funded paycheck every week.

The lawsuits just keep pilling up!!!!!!!!!!

Grandmothers knifed, bodies being mutilated ,homeless freezing to death, dogs being shot, robbers getting away ,and caught in other cities, Mayors quiting and getting a high paying job with the DPW with out any experience, police dept retires 3 police chiefs since 2002, gun range loaded with lead, half of the departments officers take early retirement after a millage renewal.

How many bad events will it take before the City Council takes charge and fires the incompetent supervisors, and hires people who can and will make SCS a better place to live in?

The bad grades on my posts certainly show I can hit nails on the head, and my finger pointing is creating uncertainty with all the bad decisions the high paid department heads have made.

One day the people will vote in a council with balls and the city will be free from the political influence of the county.

You forgot about the SCS police officer facing charges for crimes he committed in Detroit. As for voting for people with "balls", I guess that will make it an all male group.
