If I were homeless, I'd start walking and hitch hiking toward the Florida Keys no later than July. Freezing in a Porta-John is no way to go!

Until you're homeless you'll have no idea what it's like.

NOW BACK TO THE HOMELESS MAN !!!!

The police believe he was homeless.......Why ?

The way he was dressed ? They knew of him ? Calls he wasn't seen in a while ? Just a lucky guess ? ETC.

Maybe the ragged clothes, worn shoes and collection of cigarette butts in his pocket gave him away.

The person may of been an ice fisherman? could of been Chris Vitalie, or Joe Backis.

How did the police come up with the persons profile being homeless?

I don't want to speculate but my guess is that the person was seen before he died, and nobody cared.

It was not Joe Backass. He was at the Easter egg hunt.

I did not know Chris Vitale likes to fish.

Why would the portable toilet be there, and who pays for it?
Does it get serviced, and when ?

The department or business who is responsible for the toilet being there needs to explain to the residences why this happened.

Product of the public school system? How stupid can you be? You certainly are not the brightest bulb in the marquee. It is a port-a-john at a frikkin boat ramp. How much activity does one expect at a boat ramp when there is 2 feet of ice on the lake? Those things have a capacity for hundred of uses......just how many uses are expected from Nov-Mar?

Why do you have many posts stating basically the same thing? Is this an act, or are you really that stupid?

Latest word is that the guy had his cell phone in his hand and froze to death while waiting to get signed up for ObamaCare.

Port-a-johns are serviced once every two weeks, and some more often than others. The ice fisherman use them if they are available, and most port-a-johns are picked up during the off season.

When the city knows the person was living in the corner of woods by the S.Crest apt.car port and his home was a tent made of blankets & shopping carts, dies in a port-a-potty that wasn't cared for, I believe the city is liable and will get sued by the family.

The SCS police department should have had this person moved out and found some help for him , but that would require doing your job, and they aren't doing much of that now-a-days.

Maybe the poor guy could not get out of the portable toilet! Maybe the door handle was broken. Did the authorities even investigate the possibility that the door knob was broken on the portable toilet trapping the man inside to die?
Door handles do break. I got trapped a couple of times in my own house after the door handle fell off the door. I had to call my sister at work to come home to get me out of the locked room. I no longer trust door knobs.

Wow......the public school system is producing grads more ignorant than previously thought.
Free hint to the clueless.......the police are not even required to respond to an emergency call,(i.e are not liable) let alone care for a homeless perosn.....and you think the city is liable for his death? Come back when you actually have facts......not ignorant speculation.

Hopefully you have a vehicle equipped with OnStar. That way you can call them when you lock yourself inside it.

Sam Bernstein, the ambulance chasing oversaturated with Tx ads law office and my competition. Everyone one from the hood has him on speed dial on their Obama phones, comes pre-programmed with the number in it. Theres 911 and then 912 (call sam).
