I don't mean to stray but since subject has arisen what exactly is this bologna under ficano of buying years of credit towards retirement? How much does a credit cost? How long has this beenallowed? And they say these clown staffers got small raise ? They sshouldn't be getting any raise!! No meanie it is Wayne county that is way overstaffed compared to other counties. Ficano appointees far out number macomb and Oakland.ficano why not resign and let someone in there who will untangle this mess you've mostly yourself allowed to happen? Honestly. There is never any truthful explanations about these luxuries u allowed to go on until they surfaced. And courts uphold them? Why did u allow this to happen in first place? Or who did? Buy credits toward retirement. What is the arithmetic equation fer this.?do other counties in USA have this? Is this a scam? I am a homeowner who pays taxes and I have right to know along with others?
The concept of buying credits for retirement has been around from the beginning of time in business and government. You can even buy into Medicare. For example, if a person is one month short of eligibility for Medicare, should they receive nothing for the time they worked? I believe the county polity is too liberal, but that is a matter of degree.

If you research the jobs of Ficano appointees, you will find that many of those job functions exist in the other counties too except the hiring is not by appointment so they are not listed as appointees.

Nobody is stopping you from investigating and finding out about these things first hand.

Bottom line: I long for the day I see Ficano taking the perp walk like Judge Hathaway hopefully will be soon. If you do investigate for yourself, you will find the situation is much worse than you believe it is now. Take plenty of Zocor before reading.
