ya already gots too many illegal immigrants on welfare food stamps etc.

you wanted them you got them.

remember what you subsidize you get more of what you tax you get less of.

which is why you have too many welfare queens and not enough jobs.

For the past 40 years you been subsidizing the wrong people and over taxing the people you need to build a prosperous city.

to attract immigrants with skills, education you have to have jobs industries for them to work in.

God you people are slow learners

"Gov. Rick Snyder of Michigan on Thursday announced plans to seek federal help in bringing 50,000 immigrants to the bankrupt city over five years as part of a visa program ...

Under the plan, immigrants would be required to live and work in Detroit."

Wow man.

"required to live and work in Detroit."

...And I thought I was anti-immigrant. This governor dude is cold blooded.

But I understand the dilemma. None of the ...uh... Detroiters are going to work. And none of us Michiganders are stupid enough to live in Detroit...

If da gov really wants to fix Michigan state economy just look across the lake to Wisconsin see what they have done and copy the plan..

Gov walkers has cut state spending across the board reduced the cost of unions now the state has a revenue surplus which he is returning to tax payers of Wisconsin.

walker under stands that gov at every level takes too much money out of the economy,

He also seems to understand that what you tax you get less of what you subsidize you get more of.

Government has to start cutting waste no one in America can afford the tax burden we are paying for useless state city county programs.

In 1965 there was plenty of work and the bosses were paying. If I said the auto industry was going to be gone and the city would be bankrupt in 50 years and gave accurate reasons why no one would have listened. They would have taken it as a personal insult doing nothing to improve there position. The Detroit's casinos are actually in the same position today and 100% will face the same fate as the auto industry.

I only buy hoopties. Never new cars. So I cannot say.
I will try a rephrase. The model the casinos in Detroit are based on will be obsolete in 50 years. They like the auto industry will not adapt until it is too late and fail, taking the only remaining cash cow for the corrupt city of Detroit.

In 50 years you will long be obsoleted.
No business model lasts forever.
If you never buy a new car, you are not the target demographic for more than a Big Gulp.
