New Detroit police chief may soon be named; Chester Logan to retire

Once a new chief is appointed to head the Detroit Police Department, Chief Chester Logan plans to help with the transition and then retire, he announced Friday.

Chief Logan played his cards right. By retiring now he goes out at the pay grade of chief instead of a lesser level after a new chief is appointed.
