Mike Duggan Plans Appeal After Being Kicked Off Detroit Primary Ballot

If you go by the letter of the governing charter, Duggan is out. He can't interpret what the charter "meant" to say when they clearly did not. I don't see how a judge could assume the responsibility of interpreting the charter in terms of what he gleans that the writers meant either.
You can't buy a beer two weeks before your 21st birthday and say you don't plan to drink it until after the forward date.
If this removal holds up in court, I will put Duggan in the same boat as Thadeus McCotter from Plymouth. This boat is filled with those who are too dumb to hold office.
