East side crime: Recent crimes on Milwaukee's east side worry residents

There's concern on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee after a rash of recent robberies in the neighborhood.

If we had the concealed firearms permit in this state, this crap would not happened!!! I am glad I am moving back out West where I got to have a concealed firearms permit.+ where I use to live out West, armed robberies were very low. Wisconsin is the laughing stock of the United States...it's time to armed yourselves and fight these scum bags back! I live on the East side and I carry a firearm illegally, I'd like to see these punks try to rob me, they'll get it and I won't report it to the police either, they can figure it out!

we just had a carjacking in our quiet neighborhood in Riverwest at 5:45pm on weds. it's getting ridiculous and how are the cops supposed to find the guys when the description is " black men in black hoodies"? we are now banding together and walking in groups to ensure our safety. STAY OUT OF OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND DO THAT CRAP IN YOUR OWN! it's really sad when i have to have my wife call me to meet her at the car to walk 30ft to the condo door to ensure her safety.

Telling the criminals to stay out of your neighborhood will probaly work great, because all car jackers read topix.

i doubt that they read topix retard. they probably can't read or spell at all. all i was saying was for "them" to stay and rob in their own area rather than ours. we have a good community of people here and don't need that kind of trash around here stupid! you're in jersey so none of this matters to you anyways.
