I didn't write that.
Just like you know they are mixing in all topics that are not about Berwyn they are now posting stuff we don't say.
Now back on topic!
My friend got a coupon flier from NRM and it has a black woman on the cover. You can use your mind to see who the mall knows is their customer base.

I think it show's diversity in my opinion , does the black woman have corn rows in her hair or is she wearing urban style clothes, probably not , she probably is there to represent the modern professional woman regardless of color , but you always seem to spin things into looking like some conspiracy involving section 8 and Mexicans , that's so sad.
I agree!

<quoted text>Can you give me an example of a run down mall in the area ?
Because the demographics of the current shopper majority at NRM is no longer White , and I'm talking about shoppers at the smaller retail outlets not the anchor stores.
I feel like I'm having a discussion with Rico .
I only agree with his last sentence. But yeah what do he mean by run down?? Because its really not.

Here's a question for you to pounder.
On a Friday night where do you feel safer at NRM or FORD CITY?

I would have to say North Riverside - I am nervous going to Ford City during daylight hours, on a clear day, wearing a bullet proof vest. Ford City is a good example of what North Riverside could turn into. Back in the days when Rico was happy with Berwyn, Ford City used to be the Mall to go to. Now, it is a ghetto paradise. Sorry to anyone who still loves Ford City - In my opinion it dies when they closed the Alley.
second person to say ghetto....define ghetto....

for someone who does not feel safe to come to NRPM on a Friday night, when was the last time you ACTUALLY visited the mall? Disclaimer: I work at the mall and I'm there all the time.
Yes, the mall gets louder on Friday nights and weekends but only because there are a lot more people there (teenagers). The mall is safe!
There are a lot more national retailers than local shops, with national retailers opening up almost monthly (i.e. Aeropostale, AT&T, Sprint, Taco Bell, etc.) The mall is being remodeled, updated, and enhanced.
so before you bitch and moan at how scary, unsafe, and ghetto the center is, why don't you try visiting it first.
exactly. And the ppl on it.

Brady Bunch shoppers are more civilized than Black and Latinos shoppers.
Brady bunch means a whole family. Does it matter about the race. I'm black. Not every black person or any race should be judged all together. We are independent. We all not the same. Racist number 4.

It's safer south of 22nd street than north of it in Berwyn.
You know why?

I've lived all over Chicago. I agree with "open your eyes." He's not being racist... it's just common sense. Maybe they should just not make it an enclosed mall. Make it an outdoors mall like Oakbrook. That way kids don't loiter when it's cold. If a Burlington Coat Factory hits the North Riverside Mall... it's DOOMED. Just about every dead mall has a Burlington Coat Factory. Their clientele is... not the greatest.

Now, now Rico. I live North of 22nd street and it's not as bad as you're making it out to be.

South Berwyn has it's issues as well.

Malls are suffering everywhere, this is a nationwide trend, quit complaining and accept it.

Malls are being abandoned from coast to coast and new construction is down:

Americans are driving less, and the trend is significantly down:

Gas is very expensive, even in a depressed economy:

Cities grew faster than suburbs for the first time in a hundred years:
