Elmhurst Police.

One of the worst departments I've ever come across. I have been witness to people being pulled over for rediculous reasons, just to be harassed by this "police department". I have also come across cab drivers that will tell you they will go out of there way to drive around Elmhurst, just so they don't have to drive through it. A close family friend of mine had her car broken into over night, window smashed and all. When she called to file a police report, they said that there was no break in..the door was just slammed to hard which caused the window to break. This however, was definatly not the case. When she raised a fit about it, they said they would take "glass samples" back to the lab and test it. Glass samples?!?! what is that going to tell you? So they don't have time to investigate property damage and robery, but as soon as a minor is out after 11pm, or someone starts garbage picking, they're the first to grab there pen and write a ticket. Living in this town, im worried about real crime, and i want the police to do there job. Personally, i don't care if a kid is out after dark..they're going to do it regardless. I'm concerned with REAL crime; car break ins, vandalism, robbery, and just general violence. Stop dealing with petty crimes elmhurst police, and go out there and EARN(big word you've probably never heard of!) your paycheck that WE pay for.

thank you

Real crime doesn't pay. That is to say, that crime isn't profitable for a municipality. That's why police officers are more involved in "revenue operations"... those "offenses" which they can levy fines on such as speeding tickets or lawns with tall grass and weeds.

Why dont you give Terrence Mastrino a call... He lives right there in Elmhurst and he's a crooked cop in a couple towns over. Maybe he could talk to the Elmhurst police about the criminals there . After he is both: a police officer AND a criminal.

All backed up factually on these gems that I found right here on Topix:

For the people who wasted incredible amounts of time making a website about a young cop in your city your are ridiculous. Terre is a good guy who made mistakes when he was younger. If you are that immature that you need to make a cartoon based website about police officer who probably cited you for speeding than you are a joke. Keep wasting your time making these cute websites and posting things on chat pages it makes for good humor for everyone else.

We the People need to organize and get these cops accountable to somebody... but they're not. They are only against the public. But since violence is what they understand, we ought to give them some of their own medicine.

You are the voice of so many people that embrace low standads in others because that is what you accept in yourself... But then there are people in the world striving for excellence daily and you think it's wrong for them to expect excellence in those who represent the law?

Attitude is everything so I guess it's expected that if people in society (ahem, little town of Elmhurst with all of it's secrets and disgraces) have low standards, it's understandable why they would choose criminals to police them versus quality men and women.

Let's face it, being a police officer is just a job for the poor and the stupid - kind of like people that join the military. It give someone who could exceed in business a chance to have power/authority.

I think it's great that tere Mastrino has friends with such low standards as well as a family so desparate to claim one if their own "succeeded" because it keeps tere busy from bothering the rest of us with standards and goals. There's that great expression - "water seeks it's own level" - the other sleezy police in OakBrook and Elmhurst, the trashy friends of tere with no standards, the sneaky Mastrino family protecting this criminal and of course tere himself all enjoy eachother's company because they are all the same and enjoy swimming together in the cess pool they pretend doesn't exist. Sure they all spend time ( like this poster ) explaining away tere's criminal past but what does it FEEL like to embrace a "friendship" with somebody that robbed a church?

So on and on the insults go back and forth kicking up dust and clouding what the real issue is here... It's not who is upset about tere being a cop, it's not about which people posted what on a website... It's about someone stealing from a church, never paying for that crime and a police organization not willing to investigate this while years go by and this criminal tere Mastrino collects a paycheck for deceiving the public about his past.

Keep going... Keep explaining away this guy's criminal past, keep creating excuses why "everyone has a criminal past too...", I think it's great that all of you people with the big talk to protect this criminal don't have the courage to open your eyes and ask this cop for his handcuffs and take him in like an criminal accused of a crime would be handled...

Keep swimming in it together. You all deserve eachother. Water seeks it's own level and the weak NEED eachother. It's fitting that trashy people with no standards embrace a criminal to police them.

Keep up the great work taxpayers of Elmhurst and Oakbrook Terrace.

yeah, what's funnier Sean ?

A concerned citizen posting the truth (regardless of the "style") about a criminal .

Or you getting shot down after your post with others from all over the country posting that they agree with the content and message of exposure about this criminal?

What should we do Sean, ask YOU for YOUR permission, opinion and blessing in regards to what a perfect site should look like or the preferred way we should cater to YOUR preferrences in regards to conveying the truth?

You defend this guy so why does your opinion even matter? Are you that sad and desperate for friends in life that you need to associate with criminals AND defend them?

Grow up Sean. Just because you have zero standards and are probably a criminal yourself doesn't mean the rest of society has to accept YOUR low standard in the people we pay to police us from criminals.

Read Topix.com thoroughly. You will see city after city and citizen after citizen posting the same thing all over the country. We are sick of it.

You sound like a tough guy, start typing away to the hundreds of thousands of citizens throughout the U.S. and see if they want their streets cleaned up or if they want to just settle for garbage like you do.

Grow up little man.

dear sean,

please go f*ck yourself.

here's another site that you can't handle about cops.

http://www.buildersgonewild.com/

read it all the way down to the bottom of the page. it makes sense, more than you and your complacency do.

read it, think about it, and again go f*ck yourself. you are such a non-contributor to society and enabler of the criminal acts police officers commit because nobody polices them.

you are what's wrong with society. you and the criminals that "police" us.

the elmhurst police are the worst gang you got here. they are bullies and they have tempers. they will get in your face, and if you don't answer their questions quick enough, they'll throw a wallet in your face, and then throw you down on the ground, and press your head into the concrete, and if you move your head, then they all start yelling "resisting arrest", which has a penalty of 48 hours in jail, and up to a $1000 fine.

well, what about assault? if i threw an officer's wallet in his face, i would get 5 years in jail for assaulting a police officer, but they are allowed to be as hotheaded and batshit insane as they want to be, with no consequences? esp. against a non violent person. these cops are ridiculous. i would never call them if i had a problem. they never help you with real crime, if there is a robbery, or mugging, or rape. They only care about the red light tickets,a nd speeders, and confiscating drugs so that they can resell them back onto the streets, and make that money.

I must agree b/c i'm going throw something similar but I'm the one who reported a stolen vehicle and now I'm the one being charge with resisting/obstructing a Police Officer what the hell is the matter with this. Are they freaking serious? Put the innocent in jail or make them pay fines. Elmhurst Racist is what they should be call because getting to the truth or protecting your rights a citizen is not what they do unless you are one of them.

i suggest every good citizen carry a small camera in their person at all times if you think you are dealing with a rotten police department in your neighborhood. whenever these pricks pull you over for something, point it at them and start recording. be polite and calm but insist on recording any interaction with them. i guarantee you once they see that red light on they will think twice about acting like little thugs

Thank you for your thoughtful suggestion about recording the actions of these criminals with guns. Sadly, it will only deter them from acting they way they want to for that moment. It will keep them in check for a moment but it doesn't remove criminals from the force. The efforts of many are the only effective ways to make a difference but even then it's an uphill climb.

Criminals (aka- police officers that are corrupt) are untouchable on the police force.

They are criminals with ZERO checks and balances applied to them. Even when you have evidence that they are criminals, they are still allowed on the force.

Go to: www.oakbrookterracepolice.com

for more info on corruption that is accepted as well as the low standards the police have.
