Don't expect Medina City to pass!

They built 2 new schools with NO REGARD to the residents whose property taxes were increased, who have medical bills, who are barely able to feed their families. They are selfish and self centered!

Whatever - i'm assuming you do not have children in the Medina City Schools. If you do, did you voice your opinion before this happened? Didn't think so.

No I don't have children. Thanks for pointing that out, though it has nothing to do with anything! Because that makes no difference unless your going to say I don't care about kids which is not true at all. I've worked since I was 17, I'm in my 40's, bought a home, I support a family member at the present due to a job loss, have a chronic illness where my ONE prescripton cost $2100. Seniors are on a fixed income, people that have retired are having their benefits/income cut.
And YES I did write in when they wanted feedback. I watched the one meeting on cable and heard a couple of the members seem like they were trying to be reasonable, but then there was one guy on the board that was rude and all about his kids and their school and how it comes down to that.
Regardless, the economy sucks, costs have went up, people just can't afford it. I think it's only fair that ALL people in Medina City foot the costs of these schools, which is what I thought the sales tax increase was for like many others did. But of course not.

So you are WRONG on the fact that I didn't voice my opinion.

Quit complaining sounds like a snutty member of medina! let me guess-gotta keep up with jones huh? medina city schools is a JOKE! you should see the money they waste on riducalous stuff! you remind of the teacher on charlie brown -wah wah wah wah!

they have ruined medina! it is so sad what this community has turned into. i have never seen such rude drivers with no concern for others on the road. everyone is rude in this town! they are so greedy and just love to flaunt the wealth they don't have. we are building that school on reagan for the children who live on the southside of medina to attend. why didn't the city just buy up the old sisters of pthyon home on huntington and turn that into a school? there is so much land there they could of even put in some community fields for soccer or baseball. what a shame to rip down trees for a school that will not even began to fit all the children it needs to. here's an idea medina why not build a school with multiple floors, younger children on the bottom floors and older children on the upper floors! you have a brain use it! why don't we just mow down the whole square and make one huge parking lot for some oversized library that sticks out like a sore thumb and backs up traffic now! another building that could of benefited from buying out the property that empty sister of python home. since our city is so eager to plow every tree over for a house why don't this construction companies have to donate something to these schools?(ex: supplies, money, labor) gee maybe i should run for mayor!

i agree with whatever and renee-i am tired of my taxes going up because of these school levies. as soon as they finish building a school, the city starts complaining we don't have money to pay teachers, boo hoo, its not big enough we need another school, cry cry! quit complaining is probably some stuck up stay at home "mommy"!

i have 2 boy in school and the stuff the teachers ask for is crazy! i'm basically suppling them for the next few years. i'm sure they get some money to get supplies and they spend some of their own money and guess what they can write that off! just in my job too-its called business expenses! i think we should make these developers pay and help build some schools! the city just leaves all these empty building sit around then lets these builders rip down parks and trees! its a shame! the library issue still cracks me up. there is plenty of parking, people are just lazy and don't want to walk! it just blows my mind! not to mention the teachers are a joke! my son is learning disabled and he is in IEP and has tutor. his tutor is doing his homework for him and turning it in for him! what is my son learning??? explains why he is failing his tests! the tutor said something about they need a certain scores for government funding-glad to hear they care about my kids learning! there are really rude people in medina! i rarely meet anyone nice! everyone out here thinks you can stop on a dime, if they choose to pull out infront of you!

i grew up in medina...and now that i have moved away have kids of my own..i see how good i had it..i just visited a few months ago!! medina has grown,it is so beautiful, the high school is huge!! the only school i went inside is heritage elem..has not changed a bit!! wich i thought was very cool!! where ever you live you will have taxes(that always seem to high) but from what i see you are getting you moneys worth!! we probably pay close to the same taxes as you and our schools are ghetto compared to yours!! if my husband was willing i would move back just for my kids to go to school in the medina district!

Which school board member or teacher are you booty-full?

This city is ruined. Why keep squeezing all these new schools in areas where they could not be added on to in the future or upgraded. why not build schools that are more than one floor. I mean common sense younger kids shouldn't be on upper floors. The school list is crazy! I am spending money to supply the class for over a year then on top of that a fee to attend-NOT TO MENTION my TAX DOLLARS! Printer paper are you kidding me? The teachers get money to spend towards class supplies not to mention they can write it off on taxes!

blah blah blah

it IS outrageous to have to pay for such frivolous things such as copy paper and snot rags! Maybe i should send my clients with a list of stuff i need to do there hair? there are many people who are underpaid at their jobs and many of us are barely making it through the week. these school levies are outrageous quit building homes that will eventually hold children that we have no where to place. let these builders help to build these schools!

i agree with you on that point!! they were talking about that in san antonio..these builders just keep buyin up land, building houses, with no reguard to where all those kids are going to school!! i think the home builders should contribute in someway!
