Joseph L. Bomer

Dear family of Joseph Bomer,
I am not sure of what to say, but I know that I have to tell you all how very sorry I am that you have suffered this terrible loss. I have thought of all of you every moment since the accident. I want you to know that I was there and at his side within seconds after the accident occurred and that he did not suffer. There was nothing that he could have done to avoid this tragic accident and I am most certain that he did not see it coming. I recently lost my father suddenly and I know how important it is for you to know that he was not in pain. I am so sorry that I could not help him or the gentleman with him, but I want you to know that they both were surrounded by people who tried. I will continue to keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

I was shocked to read recently about Joe's accidental death. Joe was a great fellow with a good sense of humor and a nice smile that lit up the room. We were great friends through high school and college and for several years thereafter. I have often wished we had been able to keep up our friendship after the pain of our separation subsided. I think of him fondly and often.
