Parents need to learn that kids are always watching.....if you act out like that at a game, you are teaching your kids to act out in bad sportsmanship....bad refs or not. If I had been a ref there, alot of Risco people would have been kicked out. There's no sense in acting like that over a game. Whomever the principle is at Risco, needs to get a control over their crowd!

Yes thats true, the refs do report this to the state and this looks bad for the school. I bet most of the booing was from the parents.

Excuse me, I did NOT see any of the Campbell adults acting as childish as Risco. I've been to alot of games, and Risco is known for this. There was a blonde, a red-head, and a really loud man (heard he was the coach's dad), and yes he did go psycho. I sure wouldn't want my kids going to that school just because of the way the adults act at EVERY game.

Apparently the only reason why you didnt is because you're from Campbell. Since you were there last night, did you see Campbell's cheerleader go wild? Yeah, she kicked # 24. & You call cheering psycho..

People who have no control over their emotions need to stay the hell away from ball games. I've even witnessed coaches who yell and throw things when the game is not going their way. These emotionally unstable, overgrown babies need to find a job that doesn't require self control. Spectators who can't control their anger need to stay away from games as well. There's nothing worse than watching a grown-up act like a spoiled two-year-old child. It's a damn child's game. Grow up and get a life!

Just for the record.......I do NOT approve nor condone what that cheerleader did in any way, but she did NOT actually kick him (I would think that the player would have had a couple of choice things to say to her if she had----and I DON'T mean that ugly either---I'm sure I might have).

And on another note......Yes, basketball games are extremely emotionally charged for BOTH teams, especially in a close game. But I watched the Risco cheerleaders actually booing and yelling at the refs along with the parents/spectators. It did get a little bit crazy, but at least the Campbell cheerleaders did show a little more sportsmanship, save the one incident, than the Risco cheerleaders. The cheerleaders job--ALL school cheerleaders, in my opinion, should be to CHEER the teams on and get the crowd CHEERING for their teams; NOT following the crowd.

It was a really good game. And oh, by the way, I saw MORE sportsmanship ON THE COURT, than I did in the stands! THANK YOU BOYS FOR A GREAT GAME!!

I have been out of school for alomst 40 yr. and we had a coach one year that threw a folding chair across the gym floor at one of his own players because he wasn't listening and doing what he wanted him to do and this happened at the gym in Portageville on their court with a coach from Risco. He was escorted out of the guy. In fact I think he was escorted out of several games that year.

Number 24 that was supposed to have gotten kicked actually did get kicked by the cheerleader. I know because he is my son. And the reason he didn't say anything to the cheerleader was because he was raised better than that. By the way it was dealt with by the right authorities. Which was the way to deal with it. Why should he take a chance to say anything and maybe get in trouble that is what the refs and school officials are there for. Yeah the game got out of hand but if the refs wouldn't have been friends with the Campbell coaches things might have been different. The refs were also out of control when the tall black headed one pulled on my sons arm. That is a form of abuse on an athlete. Not acceptable. If he needed to talk to him is one thing but pulling on his arm is another. So why don't everybody see that it was not just Risco that was the problem. It seems to me that Campbell was just as bad.

AWilliams..

1. Your son did not get kicked by cheerleader. She did kick at him but did not make contact.

2. Neither coach from Campbell is friends with those two refs. You are making a desperate attempt to justify the lose for Risco. Can you not accpet the fact that Campbell is just a better team? We have beat you twice. Once by 30 and 2nd time by 11.

Well you are misinformed again because my son did get kicked by the cheerleader and only he would know that for a fact because he is the one that felt it not you. Maybe the cheerleader could kick you and then maybe you would wake up and see that the whole game was getting out of control and the refs didn't seem to care. And I have no complaints against the players. Matter of fact the Fowler boy is a friend to my boys. He even comes over to shoot around with them and go to the park to play ball. So I didn't say that Risco was a better team I said if the refs would have called it down the middle the outcome could have been different.

Sounds like that cheerleader needs her uniform pulled and she can set in the bleachers. As for the ref. he should have tapped your son on the shoulder to get his attention to talk to him. They also have the right to stop a game and get the fans under control or empty the building of unruly fans and then continue the game. Gideon had a mother to get out of control so much she was banned from any school activites.

THings have changed since I grad. then. the coach gave us strick instructions on how to behave at home and away games. If you acted up at away games you didn't get to attend away games. The school would take actions also. If you acted up at home games you were escorded out and was banned from home games too. WHat is going on up there. What happened to TRUE team spirit and the knowledge of sportmanship.
