RIPLEY- Is it a case of over-zealous law enforcement personnel or is a new and over-reaching legal mandate on the horizon? Ripley residents claim authorities have swept through the area in an effort to collect firearms.

Henry Mason, a construction worker from Fairplain reported he found a 'official looking vehicle' waiting for him when he got home Tuesday evening. "These guys flashed their badges at me -- they looked official. They were all state police except for two serious looking guys. One was FBI [Federal Bureau of Investigation], the other was ATF [The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives]. They stayed in the background mostly, like they were training the other guys."

Sir you realize that this is impossible. It is against our constitutional rights to seize all firearms. No judge in the country would sign a warrant, on this issue, without looking like a fool. If they did they would be infamous by the time the U.S. Supreme Court was finished. Nice try and besides the bill in which your article is referencing just passed through the House an hour ago. If you don't know I'll teach you how legislation works: Senate creates legislation or bill and then votes on it and if it passes it is then sent to the House of Representatives whom may try and amend it, if this happens it is sent back to the Senate if no amendments are added the House will vote on the bill/legislation and if it passes then and only then will it become law or take effect when the President signs off that he does not want to use his power of veto to strike the legislation/bill down. There is no way possible anyone in law enforcement could be doing seizures of any kind for a law that doesn't exist yet. Quite reading junk newspapers that have no authenticity and stop trying to panic people.

I am grateful that I realize that this is nothing more than a shitty attempt to hawk a shitty attempt at a news parody site, but worry for everyone who will read this and believe that it is a real story.

Fabricating quotes from fictional State Troopers (advising citizens to murder people), and lying about actions of government agencies might be excusable if the writing was at least funny.

Satire isn't only meant to make you laugh, but to make you think. The reality is Senators like Diane Feinstein DO want to confiscate weapons. And Joe Manchin seems eager to put 'everything' on the table.
