You can't pay your Ripley Gas & Water bill online either. Also, Forked Deer Electric and Ripley Power & Light want to charge you to pay online...

I will never understand why companies want to charge you to pay your bill... it's outrageous.

I will just continue to mail in my payments thank you very much! Something funny my Daddy always told me... If you were just gonna pay them that extra money to process it online then why don't you pay me to take a check up there for ya?

Just putting things in prespective!:)

This is a security issue for our water system. When a business handles a person's personal information, such as their debit or credit card info, the business becomes responsible for that information. Our Board has not seen a need for the county to assume that responsibility or liability.

With that being said, we do offer bank draft services. You can come to our office and sign an authorization and provide us with a voided check on your account and we will draft the bill from your checking account each month. The difference between this and online payments (as far as information goes) is that the information is kept between our office and our local depositing bank. Nothing is transfered over the internet or shared with any third party clearing house as card payments are.

Also, many banks offer bill pay services. The way that these work is that through your bank you go online and fill out you monthly bills and then the bank issues payment to each of your creditors. The bank is actually sending us a check, so you still have to keep in mind your due dates in order to avoid late charges. But this is another way to make the customer's life easier in that they do not have to actually mail the check to us or come to our office to pay.

I hope this helps. We really do not want to make life harder for our customers.

I just wish fluoride would be taken out of our water. It is in toothpaste for brushing. It is dangerous to swallow.

After years of drinking, levels are questionable. Take it out.

What would you replace it with to keep the water saniitary?

Our system stopped Fluoridation several years ago. Fluoridation doesn't do anything to keep water clean and free of disease. It is just added to systems to help prevent tooth decay in the young. Chlorination is our system of disinfection.

No you can not. As I explained before, we do not accept responsibility for customers credit or debit card information. That means that we do not accept card payments.

You do accept card payments on the inside, but I would like to know why you don't at the drive-thru. I use my debit card every month there, but I was told once that I had to come in and that you don't accept them at the drive-thru, which makes absolutely no sense. She said it was because everyone was at lunch.

Great Idea. One of the the principals for Lauderdale county schools had his power shut off because the bank draft system reset. Then they wanted to charge him to turn it back on when it was their fault. Sign me up!!!!

To answer cccd????Most of the time people that call them rude are the ones that don't get their way.. As far as the "old curly headed" don't know who you are talking about. The lady that had the curls retired and all the rest of them wear name tags. Check out their names next time.. Just curious.
