Bush started with a $128 billion surplus and ended with a $1.4 trillion deficit.

What has happened since then?

Lowest spending increases since Eisenhower
30 month private sector growth
35% of companies are now hiring
Record corporate profits and Wall Street values - They are sitting on $3.6 trillion in cash
More millionaires and billionaires every year
Lowest REAL tax rates on the rich since 1928
Household debt reduced by 1/2 billion
Gas prices peaked $4.12 under Bush

Obama has proposed $4 trillion in additional debt reduction but Republicans blocked it.
Romney has said military spending is off-limits for cutting ($683.7 billion in 2010)

But there's an 8% unemployment rate, right? That's in a large part due to the 700,000 government jobs being cut including states cutting 230,000 teachers and 130,000 police/responders.

7.5 million jobs were lost in 2008 and 2009. Expecting a quick recover is irrational. If you look at history, Democratic presidents have always created jobs at a faster rate than Republicans.
2.8 millions jobs have been created in the last 18 months.

Corporations and the 1% are sitting on $3.6 trillion in cash.
Wages and household income continues to drop in spite of record corporate profits. Think we need a little "trickle down"?

The Republicans are peddling the wrong kind of capitalism. It's time to divest from Wall Street and the finance markets. It's time to get back to middle class and manufacturing. As long as we let the finance sector dominate our economy, it's just a matter of time before our society collapses.

Wow, so you get the Obama press release too, huh? Nice campaign talking points, eh?

Go read a book and then come back after you know what you're talking about.

Well Hibiscus you have made a lot of points. None that are seeming to catch the "undecided" voters attention apparently as they are leaning to vote Romney. What they are seeing is the BIG picture. 1 in 7 people are on food stamps.(Highest number ever) Unemployment has NEVER remained above 8 percent for as long as it has since the 2008 election. No one should be ordered to pay a health insurance premium when it is GIVEN to illegal immigrants and people that just don't want to work. Sorry but people are fed up! Period.

I think you need to take a look at USA TODAY, February 6, 2012, "Fact Check: Gingrich's faulty food stamp claim".

It stated that under Bush food stamp recipients rose by 14.7 million.

Under Obama, the increase in food stamps has been 14.2 million.

444,574 fewer recipients during Obama's time.

You also need to sneak a peek at consumerreports.org on August 19, 2009

"The myth that will not die: Health care for immigrants"

Illegal immigrants are not eligible for government-run health care programs, including Medicare, Medicaid or Chip. End of story.

Where's your proof. Fox News?

The workers at these government agencies can & will do anything they want. I've seen people be denied aid when they really needed it but then given to some worthless dead beat...

So, you are saying that illegal immigrants are receiving government help without a social security number. Don't think so. Just another lie.

The polls are neck and neck. Romney trailed by six percent across the board just two weeks ago. The Democrats just can't stand to see the election slipping away and its still August. Can you imagine the lead come Nov. 6th?

People like Romney and his wife. They are the All American Family. He is a successful businessman and lots of people are just jealous.

He (and Ryan) are just what we need, along with a GOP majority in both Houses!

There's a big difference between the government giving health insurance to an illegal alien versus a person who is commiting felony fraud.

And I have several names. Why?

I don't care if they're Martian. Right now we need change- and not the kind Obama is giving us. A person's religion means nothing to me. For those liberals who seem to be worked up over it, why weren't you worried when Obama was attending Rev Wright's Church for 20 years? Rev Wright was preaching hatred toward whites and the USA. His G-D America sermon should have told you all you needed to know. If I had been sitting there when he said that I would have walked out on the spot. But Obama stayed b/c he agrees that America is evil and has robbed from other countries...

Where is your proof that Obama stayed because he agrees that America is evil.

Or is this merely what you want to think.

You make many inflammatory statements with nothing to back it up.

By the way, if Obama was a member of Rev. Wright's church, what mosque did he attend since he is also alleged to be Muslim.

This race is not about what religion you come from but the pure fact that..... Obama just is NOT getting the job done. PERIOD! Romney and Ryan make a great team for A LOT of reasons and the first is the economy. America HAS to get back to work soon or we are doomed! Why would anyone think we can just keep borrowing and spending money? You just can't do that.
