Why did he have a free fish fry on the same night that the RHS baseball team was having one to raise money for the team That shows you what Craig is all about himself he says he cares about this county that should tell everyone that he does't Thinks of Craig number one everyone else second Why people votes for him i will never know I see right threw him

Maybe, just maybe he was unaware that the boys were holding a fundraiser. I mean that can be correct. I am not a fan of his but seriously come on, sometimes people make mistakes and have poor planning. Stay on topic as to what the candidates stand for/or not and leave the pettiness to the children. I for one, am undecided who to vote for. I don't want to see the mud slinging, I want facts.

Maybe you need to stay home and not be a smartazz. It is my given right to hold out until I have decided and to ensure I am not the idiot who rushes to the polls to vote for some ole'good ole' boy in this town. I want to ensure my vote is the correct one and not just because it is someone or a family member of someone. So back the f up smartazz!

surely concerned, your comeback indicates you have a very low boiling point. not a "concern" for anyone else, and your language leaves much to be desired.
if Craig is as smart as you think, he should have had his finger on the pulse of this town and KNOWN what was going on with fundraisers for the school team. His slogan is PEOPLE MATTER or some such. Well he just proved they don't.
I DO know for whom I am voting and it is a match between 2 old friends. One belongs to a party that reveres life in the womb and the other belongs to the one that doesn't, One belongs to the party that doesn't need 3 attempts to include God or that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel; the other doesn't.
He is claiming to have "helped" to bring in Quaprotek. Like the little girl who told her dad..."I helped" when supper was put on the table with something special...(you may be too young to remember that commercial..) Well how many other industries has he "helped" bring in to this town in all the years he has 'represented' us? How many other jobs has he "helped" bring to Ripley? He has been in office many years and we are usually tagged in the top 5 in the state for unemployment.
His personal place of business does much in the county. That is from a personal business standpoint, not a political gain. The two things must be separate. BOR is known to be the one that gets very involved with the community and helps in most unusual situations that one would not expect. But again, that is a personal business---not as a political move.
Regardless of the "slinging", it does boil down to associations with party and party platforms. That is a personal choice. That will be the main determining factor with many people who are seeing what the party believes.

You are right about him needing to know what is going on in his own town and the abortion issue that I do not agree. Boiling point? I agree as well to when I am addressed as to "sit at home and not vote if I haven't already". I have not decided simply because I have not seen as to where one is better than the other YET. Edwards isnt telling me nor showing me what he stands for except the mud slinging. What does HE stand for? I would love to vote someone else in position, I just want to be sure as to who I am voting for exactly

Yes, the Bank of Ripley and Mr. Fitzhugh have always been very supportive of the baseball program. The Fitzhugh fish fry did not impact our fundraiser. We printed over 500 tickets and sold every one of them. In fact, Mr. Fitzhugh bought a lot of tickets himself to support the fundraiser.

As a member of the Booster Club and one who knows Craig well, I can assure you that Craig Fitzhugh has been very supportive of the Booster Club. In no way did the Fitzhugh Fish Fry detract from the Baseball Fish Fry. Even in his absence, Mr. Fitzhugh was very generous and supportive of the baseball booster club's events. I hope this ends this discussion.

was glad to hear the booster fry was not impacted. good for Craig to have bought several tickets. it isn't like him to do anything against the teams, but on the surface, it surely appeared tacky.
thank you for clearing this up.

There's probably not a bigger supporter of RHS sports than Craig. I'm not voting for him because he's a democrat. I'm voting for him because at least he's making some stands.

It's kind of cowardly to simply run on 'I'm a republican," or "I'm not Craig."

I have seen NO information ANYWHERE about what Johnny plans to do. Just a picture of him with Fincher (whom I voted for)and his signs (oddly enough) that merely claim "Republican."

Just not enough for me. And, if he's going to stoop to reply on a website like this,(No smart politician would)he should at least make an effort to address the legitimate issues brought up=rather than to attempt to "show-up" the asker and try to impress withhis "intelligence."

I thank him for his service, like I fo every Vet, but he got something out of it all too.

He has no Nashville connections and it'll take years to make them.

Although I don't agree with a lot of Craig's party's notions, I don't think "party" is too big a deal when it comes to local politics.

The logical choice to me, at least this time around, is Craig. Flame on now, but for a changehow about exhibiting a little class???(Like "Ox"- even when she doesn't agree with someone at least she approaches it with civility.
Try that troglodytes!(Yeah, I know the ones I'm talking to will have to "Google" that)Go ahead...we'll wait.
