They have a location set up next to the dollar general on highway 51. They have already held two days of taking applications, and are in the middle of call backs.

There are restaurants such as Emily's and Blue & White that serve excellent breakfasts. Of course, if you want to go a "fast food"? way, there is Sonic and McDonalds. I wouldn't eat any breakfsst items from McDonalds, but Sonic has a few good items.

Whether DQ here will be serving breakfasts here, I don't know. Just remember though, if they do, it is a fast food restaurant and would have items similar to McDonalds..

Once it opens it will be swamped. People will act like they never had a dairy queen hamburger before it is crazy how people act when a place opens, what is the big deal dang it is ridiculous, just like chic filet people acted like they never had a chicken sandwich geezzz

It is the glamour thing. You have to try it out. It's a must. You need your own opinion so if someone else talks about it, you can voice your opinion, because only your opinion really counts.

Also, I doubt seriously this Dairy Queen will be serving breakfast. Their hours will be 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM , so I am told. It would be pretty hard to serve breakfast during this period.

MY concern, is being a Bank of Ripley Customer, that uses the drive in window, how is the lane going into the DQ, the lane coming out of the DQ and the BOR customers all going to share that small little driveway? I work in COvington, so i always go into the drivein of the Bank of Ripley. It could get really dangerous. I don't think anyone was thinking about that bottleneck when they designed the DQ....

I saw that myself. It is an apparent oversight, and will soon rear its ugly head.

Also, I hope these new owners have fast food restaurant management experience or it will be a fast goodbye. It is a tough row to hoe as the old saying goes, either that or very deep pockets.

the dairy queen in ripley is really great~! they are devoted and caring and will do all they can to satisfy whatever your cravings are.. as for the slightly slow orders that u get.. its because everything is made fresh. the management is very well established and if u have ever visited the dyersburg DQ then u know that Bryan is so very nice and will help all and everyone in need...if u have a problem .. ask for him.. he has been in the business for 18 yrs and knows alot about costumer service.. he is always there for the costumer and always will be~~ if you have any complaints .. dont be scared .. let him know.. so he can fix them.~~ believe me when i say .. if u miss dyersburg dq AND THIER devotion.. u will get the same treatment when and where ever Bryan is involved~~!

I had an issue with the drive thru recently. I got home an realized it. I called to let the MGR know and ended up with the OWNER on the phone. I told him what happened, and he offered to have me come back and refund my money-AND give me a whole new meal. I told him no thanks because it wasn't that big a deal and I wanted him to be aware of it.(I would if it were MY business)
He still asked me to please at least give him my name so he could send me free food coupons to make up for it-and I still told him no.
Point is that, as he should, he went out of his way to try to make up for the mistake one of his workers made. Mistakes are GOING to happen in every business-the proof of quality and character is HOW your business reacts to those issues.
This guy gets a thumbs up!

I have eaten there several times and have always found it to be very clean, the service excellent and food good. The bathrooms (always a sign of how well a place is run) are always clean, the girls working the counter are friendly and helpful and the tables are always cleaned off and the food is really good. I am happy we have them here.
