I had called them a couple of weeks after they took over and asked if I could get service and they said no. Even though the person across the street had it (internet). On top of that it took them three weeks and different people telling me different things to finally figure it out.

One other thing. I tried to call the local office (NewWave- TW) and it bounced me to somewhere in Ohio or someplace. They told me that you can't call the local office or order from there.

Even though they took over 1 May, the officially didn't change the network until yesterday. I was down all afternoon and evening but was working this morning. I also was on hold for over 30 minutes, but if they don't get it right I will get rid of them also.

Information for all those out there that are having issues with Time Warner Cable. Newwave Communications sold the Kentucky and Tennessee markets to Time Warner Cable last year. Time Warner planned to migrate all former NewWave customers to their national network. However, the current equpment, installed and maintained by NewWave, failed to function properly. So, Time Warner is spending $$$ to upgrade equipment and cable so that West Tennessee can be on the same network as the rest of the nation. This should happen in the next quarter. Then we all should be able to get the same products and services as major cities. This is exciting news for everyone.

As for the phone, all major cable companies have an interactive voice reponse system to manage all inbound calls. All calls will be answered. All customer issues can be dealt with over the phone. If you must talk to someone in the Ripley store, the address is 111 W. Jackson Ave.

Well I do not personally have Time Warner for anything, but my Dad and StepMom have phone service, cable, and had internet (dropped the net) and the phone goes out all the time and the cable does too. They are not happy with them at all (but SM is to hard headed to change I guess she would rather just complain I do not know. But I do know my Dad is not happy at all

This migration over to Time Warner Cable from NewWave has had some issues, but these will all go away in Q4 of this year. If services are interrupted, please call the number assigned to former NewWave customers:
Residential 1-855-821-7018
Commercial 1-855-222-5344
Call each and every time the services are interrupted. The problem could be connections, equipment, etc. They will be able to tell you if there is an outage in the area. There are very few outages in this area. If a fiber is cut, the services will be down for hours. This has been the case. These were done mainly by Gibson Electric Company. This has NOTHING to do with Time Warner Cable. However, since we use their fiber, we are the ones that suffer. NO OUTAGES WERE CAUSED BY TIME WARNER. We are working on equipment in this area and there may be a short service interruption but there are no outages.
I was able to watch my TWC cable during the storm last night...how about those satellite customers.
$89.99 for phone, 10M internet and cable (how does that compare to ATT U-Verse)

No way I'd go with Time Warner. BTW cable guy (who works for TW) I didn't lose reception during the storm last night. But people I've worked with have complained endlessly about their cable screwing & not being able to get through, esp late at night.

My U Verse is cheaper than TW and is fast enough. Cable has a lot of catching up to do before they fix their image...

So, you are paying less than $90.00 a month for unlimited phone, 10M internet, and cable? I don't think. But since you don't have our service, I will not offer my opinion. I offer my opinion on things I can control and know.
Negative comments about a business are damaging especially in rural America when everyone else is trying to better their lives. Remember: "the human mind always tends to think the worst and very often the human ear prefers to hear the derogatory rather than the complimentary tale”.

I didn't say I was paying $90 a month for everything. AT&T has offered me all three for $99 but I don't want their TV service.

My Direct TV bill is around $85 a month- that's for like 225 channels, a DVR and two room service (all I needed).

U Verse is $24.95

When I thought of moving and would need cable internet I had the hardest time with TW. I talked to numerous people, all telling me different things. Finally one lady said she'd get back with me- which she did about two weeks later.

I have my issues with AT&T as well, mainly on cell phones but Direct TV has been fine....

My opinion is just that- mine.

Does anyone know that there is a store at 111 W. Jackson Ave in Ripley where Customer Service Associates can offer telecomomunication solutions, schedule installs and service issues, and take payments? There is no need to call anyone. They are there from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM M-F.

After your visit to Time Warner Cable, you may want to see what else is on the square in Ripley. There are new stores opening!!!

Getting an intelligent answer out of someone in that office is very difficult, July 3rd cable & Internet were down the WHOLE day, well let's not exaggerate, it was from about 9:30 am to around 7 or 8 that night, so yeah practically all day! I went in around 4 to pay my bill & inquired about the service issue at the same time. I was told, " yes we just confirmed there was an outage & that it would be restored soon" a very typical answer to say the least. I said " just now confirmed it? It's been out since this morning" geesh! Anyway I paid my bill & the lady was nice. I went on vacation last week only to come home to a bill with a $15 increase! When they first started there conversion from newwave to time Warner I specifically asked would there be a rate increase. Because I know how the world works. What was I told? "No sir your monthly bill will not change." I knew better but no need to argue untill the bill did go up as it was inevitable. Guess what, it did. On top of that the Internet was out most of the day yesterday. I will be changing service ASAP. A few dollars I may have chalked it up. But $15? Gimmie a break! I know others have had to see the same or near increase on their bill, let's hear it, I am going to pull out my old statement just to see where they added a dollar here & there at. Which will pretty much be down the whole page as I only have 15mb Internet & basic cable with one extra package & you have to get the extra package or you might as well stick with a freaking antenna!

& yes I was paying less than $90 for 15mb Internet & cable, I don't need "unlimited" phone, I already have that it's called a "cell" phone! I was paying $87 & some change & now my bill is $102 & some change. BS!!!
