there is alot of talent in Ripley however they may deserve a chance to give it their all in Nashville, they have to put themselves out there in order to get anywhere.

I believe there has been a couple of songwriters with some success from here. No performing artists though.

There are a million good singers and musicians in the world. The big record labels aren't looking for those talents as much as they are looking for those who can write AND perform, amoung other things. So if you know someone who can play the steel guitar, or has a great singing voice but can't write or perform they are just one of the millions who have the same skill set. No disrespect to good singers or musicians it just is what it is.
