yeah its steven kirkpatrick. about time he gets caught. i guess he thought since he gone on the rpd as a reserve officer and his dad, mike being a cop there also he could get away with it. he's been doing weed forever and no telling how long he has been abusing his little girl. rpd don't even do drug testing. if they did he would have never been hired in the first place

Let's remember a person is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. Four years old can get bruises in a variety of ways, so let's get the facts before we judge. If he is guilty he should receive some kind of punishment, if he is is innocent he should walk free. Just because some of you may or may not like him doesn't mean we should place judgement without facts.

i must agree. if you're not the person running the investigation you shouldnt be running your mouth either.whatever this man does is his personal business. and i for one dont believe for one second that steven would ever spank his child to the point of leaving bruises. kids get hurt. strange that the 4 year old can tell her father that she fell off her bike yet goes home to her mothers and now its an abuse charge. pathetic. if you tell a 4 year old that daddy did it enough times they're 4! they'll start to agree. and in my opinion the forwarded text that the childs mother sent to everyone she knew was completely tasteless on her part and extremely inappropriate.

I don't know about you, but if someone beat my 4 year old; I'd probably be a lot more than inappropriate. I've talked to people who have seen the bruises and it's nothing a normal play accident would have caused.

well it also seems to me that if someone beat my 4 year old i would be smart enough to realize that is bad enough the 4 year old doesnt deserve to text messages with a picture of her with her underwear pulled to the side for the entire town to see the childs butt. innapropriate? yes thats the word im choosing. if the child really was beaten which i dont believe her father would have done,i know the man, she doesnt need text messages of her barely dressed and exposed to be passed around to the low lifes in this town.

Yes, Steven did beat this child. She had bruises, belt marks, whelps, and lacerations from a belt from her hip to her knees.VERY CLEAR BELT MARKS!! She is 4 years old people. How can you defend this child abuser? Take a look at his record.. it speaks volumes!! How he was ever able to get a job with RPD is beyond me. Do you really think the TBI would step in if this was false information? Wake up and stop taking up for people who beat children!!!

Well I have posted on the last forum. I will say this we will defend a man who is accused of child abuse, but dog out a mother who desparately sends txt around of a young child in her panties trying to get help because things have been covered up for the father long enough. I see kids in the yard in their underwear and diapers. Do we arrest these parents? Well I tell you one thing I am a nurse and that is no bike wreck. Pull out a strand of his hair and put it to the test. You will see y he stole his grandparents guns for drugs.

Its sad have several children and never have i ever spanked a child so young. 4 years old? There is no way that a child this young should be spanked, a spat on the wrist and time out are great skills. Honestly what could a 4 year old do so bad that they deserve a spanking? My prayers are for this child...

i have seen this child and the bruises are terrible. just awwwwwwwwwwwwful! i have known this family for many years now, and to hear that this child( at age 4) and no bigger than a toothpick took that kind of beatin is unreal, but i seen with my own eyes and those gashish and bruises are not from a bike wreck..so that was very lame to come up with that stuff! that poor child is scar'd for life. also at 4 yrs old a child shouldn't even know what weed is..but yet let me quote" the child stated that child spilt a drink on daddy's weed" and recieved that kind of punishment! if that was so important to him Y not keep it put up..it could have been thrown away by mistake, just like the drink got spilt. MISTAKES happens kids make them all the time!!! as small as this child is this child could have ended up with more damage than what accured. Thank the lord she has /had enough courage to tell someone .

(as posted on other topic)

um if the mother is sending picture of her 4 yr old in just her panties and showing her butt, isn't that called child porn?
Just saying, parents have been arrested and charged for posting those kinds of pictures on myspace and facebook. Why is it okay for this woman to do it? And why would she send it all over town to begin with?

If the father did beat this child (innocent till PROVEN) he deserves to rot in hell.

Look let the investigation occur. Let's try looking at this in a logicial way. One, brainwashing does occur sometimes and many times one parent tries setting up the other. It occurs all the time especially in custody battles. Therefore it is a possibility. However, if there are several belt welps etc that is a little bit different. One or two bruises can definitely occur for a four year old in a variety of ways, several belt welps on the other hand is hard to argue. However, we don't know if all those markings are correct or not. Two, when you are a public figure like this officer you are going to have some enemies that want to see you hang. On the other hand when you choose a profession such as police officer you are always under the public eye. Third, sending pictures all over town of this child is indeed wrong and that is where I have the problem. Usually when one parent goes showing a ton of pictures or spreading things over town it looks very suspicious like she is trying to benefit some kind of way. What you do is keep your mouth shut, keep it quiet and have a complete investigation and see what happens. One way to gauge this is whether or not the state goes after him and if the case is heard in a criminal court. If it goes to criminal court then they think there is some conclusive evidence, if it is only heard in say chancery court then that means the evidence isn't there and he may or may not be innocent. It sounds like this one is going to criminal court which means it could be a difficult case. Let's try not to judge until all the facts come out. I just hope justice is served because I am sure the Department of Children's Services is involved in some way and I hear things all the time about them here in Lauderdale and in Dyer County and they are exactly efficient, so let's see what happens. I don't know if he is innocent or guilty but I like to think the best in people.

Linux users (aka Aspies), how's it feel to know there's an entire group of individuals who are better at social interaction than you are? Meet Windows users. They are better than you.

They understand conversations better, they understand body language better, they know how to network better than you. They understand the pros and cons of friendships(including fuckbuddies) because on windows, you'll actually have friends; they understand the principles behind small talk because they run into phrases like "how's it going" and "what's up man"; they can probably get laid too, since having sex naturally comes from knowing how to talking to girls(and this really pisses you off, since flirting was the one thing you always failed at on linux.) Oh, and they probably can even talk to geeks better than you, since most advanced windows users these days are ex-nerds who managed to learn social skills years ago, when it was much less user friendly.

At this point, a confident individual would admit to himself he has a lot to learn about socializing and people in general. But since you lack the self esteem to do that, you run back to linux, install the latest build of gentoo, and keep repeating to yourself "at least i can compile my kernel. at least i can compile my kernel"

If you're looking for a job, all this hits you even harder, because you realize a lot of the jobs require talking to people in one way or another. Even many of the linux related jobs recommend real interaction! At this point, you rationalize "well the only thing I know is linux, so I must be a linux expert!" as if knowing only one thing makes you an automatic expert, or that learning windows forces you to forget linux entirely.

I will say my last words to this gossip free for all. I had one forum removed for the privacy and protection of my four year old cousin. It's not about what we think. It's up to the courts to decide. Hopefully by the end of the day these other two forums will be removed. And if another forum gets started hopefully its for the benefit of prayers for the whole situation and all involved.
