Why is it the dogs fault? Your just as wrong for not having your cat on a leash, while i believe every dog should always be in the owners control, the same should go all pets, i truly am sorry for your cat

I live on Hanna, there are hardly anymore strays running around here anymore. I have never seen a Persian cat in the neighbohood. My cat is an outside cat & she is setting here eating right now. Day before yesterday I saw a lil dog runnin around here but the owner came & got him/her. Just where exactly do you live on Hanna? End of the road or towards the beginning. I know almost everyone down here & don't know of a Persian cat. There was a pit that lived freely down here for a little over 2 yrs but he died about a month ago. So I know it wasn't him. Now I do know someone who has a dog that tends to get off the leash almost every other day & my cat slaps the shit out of it everytime it tries to get her food

We're they labs? They tend to come over here from the neighborhood across the road. I said I have never seen a Persian on Hanna, my wife just told me there was one on Deer Run Cove. Is this what you are talking about?

I wouldn't dare let a true Persia cat outdoors! I've owned several cats in my life and I've kept all indoors. They're clean, don't have to be walked and usually look out the window or sleep all day. Kinda like me...

Yes they are labs it was three of them. I live towards the end of Hanna. The reason you haven't seen a Persian is she is typically an inside cat. She would come out for maybe 5 minutes at a time then would come right back in. Dog lover...have u ever tried to leash train a cat?? Cats don't belong on leashes nor are they violent animals... However Ripley pd advised last night there is a leash law for DOGS... Either way I sat with my baby girl til 3 this morning when she passed away :(

She was a true Persian and just started wanting to come outside when it cooled off.. I guess I keep it to hot in the house. She doesn't stay out long... I still have 2 cats. A white Persian and an orange Maine coon... They are declawed and do not go out period. Sassy girl had her claws soo I thought she would be ok ....guess I thought wrong.

Not to be cruel but yes you were badly wrong! NEVER let a house car outside unless on a lease! They are simply not accustomed to the outdoors. They will get frightened easily with all the noises and run. I really hope your cat is okay.

So sorry to hear this. I recently lost a full-blooded Himalayan. She was registered with CFA. She NEVER went outside unless in a pet taxi to go to the vet.

Please don't ever make this mistake again.

Oh no lesson learned! I had a Himalayan for a long time they arw awesome! My other 2 have no claws so I have never entertained letting them out because they can't defend themselves. Guess my sassy was no match for 3 very big dogs! Thanks for listening.

Those 3 labs need to be shot & killed. They came in my yard & killed my cat of 15 yrs. who was laying on my deck sleeping. She hadn't been out but for 30 mins or so. This happened 1 1/2 yrs. ago. I wasn't able to get the gun out fast enough or I would have done it myself. Sad thing is I didn't live near Hanna dr but they came from the other side of the railroad tracks. Hate that your baby was attacked & something needs to be done about them dogs.

@guest when you say across the railroad tracks are you meaning from rice park? Not tryna stir the pot either just curious because I too live on Hanna & am now wondering where these dogs came from?

@ cat lover- are you sure the officer didn't say "Edgewood" that's the subdivision to the right when you turn left coming out of Hanna, the same neighborhood I was talking about earlier. I just couldn't think of the name of that street earlier but that's it. I have seen those dogs coming from there before. Its the 1st road on the right when you tun left out of Hanna towards town directly across from the car body shop. Hope that helps some.

I am sorry for both of your losses, animals are very special & the ones that can't act right need to be put down just like a person that doesn't act right or kills should. That's just the way I feel, if you kill then you should be killed. Only way that doesn't hold true is if you are protecting yourself or your family or a loved one. Otherwise there is no sense in killing.

That's it Edgewood! Then a neighbor also told me they come from over there... And you are right " eye for an eye". This cat has been part of my family for years it is a very sad day and a great loss... I know some people say I should keep her on a leash but she never went more than 10 feet from my door. And when she was attacked she was right outside my door under my car.
One thing is for sure....she will never be replaced! She was very unique :)

No not rice park but across the tracks from Edgewood. They came across the field & woods & came thru my back yard. I lived on Hyde rd at the time.
