Doesn't matter If its a church or a bar, the building may have changed but it's the same crowd.

You people need to know the facts before you start opening your mouths. Hicks had nothing to do with what happened. This has nothing to do with a church being turned into a bar. That building has been used for various types of establishments. What happened was very sad indeed. The young man was not there the whole evening, he wasn't even there an hour before this ocurred and there was deputies in the bar when it ocurred. The young man left through the front door and within 5 to 10 minutes after departing through the door and he didn't depart through that door by himself, he was hit. Just because someone owns or runs a bar doesn't make that establishment responsible for your actions. Anyone that goes there are adults, it is up to you to control your own amount of adult beverages you partake in consumming. This was a very tragic accident and I pray for his family during this time.

It is also the establishments responsibility to not serve a drunk person more alcohol. Look up the law. Not saying this was this establishment's fault but drinking IS NOT just the responsibility of the consumer.

Well Nope....The young man didn't purchase any alcohol at the bar. He wanted to bring in his own beer but it was not allowed. And you say drinking is not just the responsibility of the consumer? Oh please don't sit here and tell me this crap. I for one know how much alcohol I can handle before I am drunk and I know that I have to drive myself home, so therefore if I drink, I am not going to drink to get drunk knowing I have to drive. Maybe you are like my ex-husband..all his DUI's were someone else's fault and not his and would not admit it was his choice to drink and drive. Remember this one thing: Life is about choices and what choices you make is your responsibility and not someone elses. That is one of the problems with people these days, they blame someone else for their issues, their shortcoming, etc. So what, you and you alone are the one who is responsible for the choices you make in your adult life.
