If all you are looking for is someone to wipe your azz and throw out your sh%t bucket, it is good. If you read the papers, you'll see there isn't anyone within a 30 mile radius of Ripley who could be trusted to disperse meds, so that makes it bad. If you ask to see their doctors and nurses credentials, you will find "otherwise." If I had a pet ant and he needed professional medical care, I'd take him to river before I'd take him to the Manor.

We looked into the Manor for my father. It seemed like a nice place, as nursing homes go. I've known people that work there and they seem to like their jobs.

I meant "who is" the director of nursing? Should I take a chance by working there?

I don't know who the director of nursing is. I just recognized the acronym.

As I said, I know a few people who work there and none of them hate it. These people would be under the DON, too, so I suspect 'info' is the exception.

The Administrator has been there for over 30 years and the place is great because of him. I think the people who are dogging OVM are ex employees and they are just upset that they lost their job. It is a good place for long term care patients, for rehab and to work.

All I know is that I worked there years ago, I loved it and the people that worked there and the patients that were there. The only problem I had was the main man treated patients different depending on how your bill was being paid. I think all should be treated the same. This is why I quit I was not fired and I still think that it is a very nice place or I would not have let both my parents be admitted there.

I had a relative there a few years ago, and our family was very happy with the care.

Ohio Valley Manor is a great place to work. I only left there because I was moving out of the area. If I lived in Brown County and had a relative who needed care, that place would definitely be my choice.

That place is one of the best places to work with the highest wages in this area. Their patient care is ranked the highest in Brown County according to the federal government. Do your homework!
