A man who does not do his job, should not entitled to keep his job. This is why Music is in the situation he is in. Lets look at some more facts, Music was FIRED from his last job as a principal, Music WALKED OUT on his job, and all of those he "cares so dearly" about. TODD (who is not even worthy of the respect to be called Mr. Music), is incapable of following even the easiest of directions! He was put on administrative leave, and yet, still cant seem to find himself out of the publics eye during school hours, and even worse, had one of his students admit that he was helping him in the music room, just a few days ago... a few days ago this man was banned from school property!! A MAN THAT CANNOT DO HIS JOB, SHOULD NOT KEEP HIS JOB!!!!
I pray that the board makes the right decision... FIRE HIM!!! Even better, call the Ethics committee, i promise they will take his license away from him, AND, Ripley will not be made to buy anything out!

It is amazing the narrow minded views of the people in this small little redneck town. How can you all uphold a descision to terminate an educators position without pay, yet your city municiple workers can embesel thousands of your tax dollars and drive a brand new suv in front of your faces daily while suspended WITH pay? I'm sure you all must sympathize with her as she needs her paycheck to continue to support her drug addicted son and all the attorney fees he incurs. All Mr Music tried to do is keep your children from falling into the same fate. Without an education the children in this town will end up with no other options than the majority of teens now walking your streets addicted to oxycotion and whatever else they can get there hands on. Instead of sending little Jonny to his room where he has his xbox and Ipod waiting on him(hardly punishment) Mr. music picked up where you as parents droped the ball. He did not give students an easy suspension, instead he raised the bar and kept your problem students in school, and tried to give them direction instead. So once again you all have dropped the ball at your childrens expense. Keep up the good work.

Without discipline NO learning takes place. It doesn't matter what the teacher has planned if students can do whatever they want with no consequences. Screw you people saying he had the students' best interests at heart. He wanted to be cool, not respected; not the qualities I look for in a leader. 100 out of 123 staff members approve of Birkholtz' students' interests.
Did you read those documents from the Ledger?? Music is a pompous ass that thought he couldn't be touched. Birkholtz has him by the balls. Talk about documentation. My advice to Music: go "get a life" someplace else.

I have never been on here or posted, and I now see why. I will gladly accept the stone throwers and humbly thank those who are supporters of me. This district is hurting and this is another incident in a pattern in this high school. So many people can not see past their emotions to truly get a perspective on where all of this leads us, or our kids. My kids have been threatened, mistreated, and are now fearful of attending school because of how some of their teachers have treated them (or disregarded them). My heart breaks for the students who spoke and were laughed at and made fun of by 'teachers'. Do not believe the rumors and gossip. Come to me and we will talk. All I can say is thank you to the members of this community in which I live. I will not return to this site and encourage all of you who are good people to do the same. Rise above this pettiness. You have helped to give us a home.

I've had enough of this. To "my opinion.". People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Your words have made it plain exactly what type of a person you are-one without character or respect for others. The students who stood up for Mr Music, be it here on this board or at the meeting last night, came from a wide array of backgrounds that were brought together by one thing-their love and respect for Mr Music and all he has done for them. Instead of honoring their willingness to stand up in front of a room full of people and take a stand, you mock them from behind your
safe and annonymous screen name. Pathetic and cowardly.

To Mr. Music and his family. I have no idea what the issues are concerning all this. I do not have children in the school system. I make no judgement on you or your family. I don't know the issues so I make no comment on them. I do know you are residents of our community. You came here to live and work and raise a family just as my ancesters came here over 150 years ago. Yes, my family has lived here a great number of years and have been respected memebers of the community. They have owned businesses and farms, raised their childern and contributed to the good of the community. I speak to you as one resident to another. I am very sorry you and your family are being treated badly. You have a right to live in this community and enjoy the many wonderful things that are about it. I am so sorry your childern are afraid to attend school because of whatever issues that have occured. NO child should have to be afraid to go to school. It's sad and I truly apologize to you that you and your family have to experience this.

ya mr music is right on what he said there was this girl that went up in front to talk and them low life teachers made fun of her and that was so wrong they need to let them teachers go because they aint there for the kids they are just there for that dam check and they need to just leave mr music and his family alone they are heart broken enough without everybody treating them like shit.Well all i have to say is why is it that the kids get in trouble for cussing and smoking and the teachers can cuss in class and smoke and they say they are there for the kids but when kids ask for help on something they wont help them i sure in the hell dont call them teachers. And this is for mr music ((((((( WE LOVE YOU MR MUSIC AND YOUR FAMILY ))))))))

If that is how the students act, or threaten to act, who support him then it's no wonder he is facing termination. Enjoy juvey "Student". Expect the police tonight.
Why would they be expecting the police? They have their opinion and i think it is time for you guys shut up and listen to what they have to say. cause it is them who have to go through the change of a new principle ever year. you expect them to keep out of this and that is not going to happen. Yeah Mr. M may not the kind of guy you would to expect as a principle. but he tries to help the kids if they have a problem, not just push them off to someone else like people did in the past. so let the student body say what it has to say, and maybe you guys should listen, not just say they don't matter, cause they know what is going on in that school...more then you people do! and i hope Mr. M gets to keep his job!!!!!!!!

I feel I may be the only intelligent student in RULH. I also believe that it was right for the school board to question Mr. Music as a principal. He doesn't do his job completely. Have any of you ever noticed how many times they call him to the office in a day? I once counted 7. Did that say anything to you? Another thing that shows his inability to be a principal is the fact that he's the only principal I've ever heard of that doesn't discipline. That's all I have to say.

Ok what on earth could this man possibly have done for this witch hunt to take place.

For god sake how on earth does his children deserve to be treated this way. And his wife god bless her heart.

No one is speaking of what happened. Ok meeting is over so spill it.

Who cares if he has to be called to the office, and so what if he tries to keep kids in school instead of putting them out in the street to get into more trouble.Atleast he cares about each and every student there,he don't care if you are black, white,Rich or as some call it poor white trash. Are you saying that you are the best kid in that school, because I doubt that, have you never made mistakes in your life.I'm glad that he was not there to act like a prison guard. If people want him to do that then they need to put in metal detectors and put up an electric fence if you ask me.Don't you worry about who they will put in that School next? And another thing if the teachers can't handle their classroom then they need not to be there at all.I have had my fair share of some of them and I feel that they can get better ones in that school to teach. They only like the stuck ups and the kiss asses in that school.
