We celebrate King Day, because we recognize Civil Rights. We recognize that no state has any right to conspire against any citizen for being black, white, Catholic, female, gay or anything else of natural origin. Just because someone wears a law uniform as an employee from the state doesn't give them the authority to search and seize you without any probably cause. We celebrate King Day, because in America people's civil rights are guaranteed through the Constitution. Everyone is entitled to due process and equal protection.

It's a shame how the ignorant come out in droves to take for granted something as valuable as their civil rights in America. Yet, it's funny how they are the absolute FIRST to come pointing a finger at how people in other countries are mistreated by their governments.

-- and they wonder why people think Americans are stupid.

King was nothing but a trouble maker and, according to the late, great former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, John Edgar Hoover, a Marxist and womanizer.

There are better persons that America could be honoring. We need to be able to observe a George W. Bush Jr. & Richard B. Cheney Day as valid holidays.

Americans are much better then falling for the celebration of Marxist/Leninist terrorists like King.

Martin Luther King, Jr. heavily plagiarized his doctoral dissertation, had clear ties to the American Communist Party, and had so many extra-marital affairs that they would be difficult to catalog.

In spite of that, there was much greatness in this man. If he was alive today he would be disgusted by Al Sharpton, unwed mothers, Snoop Doggy Dipsh*t, saggy pants, crack dealers, fourth generation welfare recipients, and fathers who don't take care of their kids.

Much of black America has abandoned MLK and his movement.

Why does the Tea Party say that Martin Luther King was actually a right wing conservative?

MLK saved America. At a time when things were obviously getting worse he led the movement for non-violent protest. He disarmed the people with guns with peace. He left a mark that only the hateful and disenfranchised will bemoan. His movement drew the line. Even people in NOrthern Ireland hail MLK as great.

I find it interesting that the ONLY people accusing others of Marxism are angry white people. They do this when something doesn't go their way. They come screaming "Marxism" like children cursed with Tourettes's syndrome without ever really understanding what it is they're talking about.

Richard B. Cheney Day, LOL? Now THAT'S funny!

Viva Abu Ghraib!!

That's true.

Blacks today are far more concerned with consumerism over silly things like sneakers, and hair products. It's hilarious. There are actually more black people concerned with what goes ON their head than what goes IN it.

I'm sure MLK is rolling over in his grave.

It's funny how all of a sudden they are complaining about taxation without representation and excessive taxation. When we started two undeclared wars some of the same people were saying taxation was a good thing. Back then they were all, "If you're not with us, then you're against us." Now that the war drums have ebbed and it's time to sober up and pay the bills they come crying about the taxes and divided we need to be.
Don't 'cha just love the irony?
Oh yeah, here we go. OBummer's 6 + Trillion dollars in NEW government debt is Bush's fault, right? I guess that means that OBummers next 6+ Trillion debt will still be bush' fault too, right?

Because his values were what is now described by the looney left libertards as "far right", the same is true for JFK, if he were alive today his views and policies would also be cnsidered far right conservative.
