BELIEVE THEM

Dayum. I'm thinking it may be a good thing the female victim doesn't remember anything from the crash. I really hopes she makes a full recovery, and from this moment on never again rides with someone who has been drinking. I have nothing nice to say about the driver.I'm very glad the police didn't give up, and the truth is finally coming out. Also, always always always remember to wear your seat belt people! Had she been wearing a seatbelt, she wouldn't have been thrown across the seat into the windshield.

I hope she comes through it okay. It's always sad when things like this happen.

It took 4 months to arrest this guy? I doubt all the charges will stick.
Also, the grandmother of the victim has no ill will towards Byrnes. more power to her, because if that was MY family member, I would take a Louisville Slugger to that idiot and turn his kneecaps inside out.

I remember when this story came out….. Here’s the rub with drunk driving…most people don’t plan their evening to include killing someone,“Honey wear that beautiful black dress to dinner tonight, so they can just bury you in it Daddy’s gonna get drunk!” People go out… socialize, drink and then lose the ability to make rational decisions. Why do we let people drive up to an establishment to consume alcohol and then chastise them for driving off…people who smoke pot don’t drive 100 mph! I'm just sayin....

I think the clincher to the story is that the guy who was driving just left the crashed car with the girl inside. If someone's been drinking and then loses the ability to make rational decisions, that speaks large volumes about their drinking in the first place. But I get what you're saying.

Yeah I'm trying to ignore my inner bioch...he’s a real piece of work...unless he was that drunk that he forgot she was even in the car...don't like making calls on situations I’m not in....as the saying goes there is always 3 sides to the story ... your perception my perception and reality!

Weird. A divorce attorney I know once said something similar: There's 3 sides to every story... his side, her side, and the truth.

20/20 did a show on our minds and what it sees and doesn’t see...it was amazing... the one that blew me away … they had kids on a school yard bouncing a basketball....told the audience...count how many times the ball bounces....in the end they asked how many times did the gorilla come in and out of the circle??? WTF I never once saw the gorilla which when they showed you again the clip and the gorilla was clearly there...but your mind is so focused that it just didn't register. Really freaky shit...so I believe everything that someone says happened even if the Facts show otherwise...we all see with different minds and eyes!

Mike Byrnes is the biggest POS out there! he is the worst person, parent, friend out there. I hope he gets the worst ever! He knew damn well what he did! He put her body in the drivers seat after the crash! All he is is a steroid using douch bag! Him and his ugly ass girlfriend can go live a wonderful prison life! She should be used to it cuz her ex is in too!

Well, maybe not THE biggest, but he absolutely ranks right up there. I know someone who knows someone who is related to the poor girl. I'm so glad that she's doing better than they first thought, but this doesn't excuse what he did.

Okay, 1) I said ALMOST. 2) VVPD isn't the only PD with a cold case (not excusing them; just saying)...and 3) Deanna Johnson is an entirely different thread. Go there!
