Summer of 1969 when it was still Sundberg's, hectic but a good High School summer job. Boss was nicknamed Rebel, wasn't too proud to jump in and lend a hand wherever needed. Long hours, hard work but if you came in early you got a good meal. There was a dilapidated bar on the NW corner of 2nd and New York, a few of the older guys would stop in for a "break" several times a shift. My job was assembling their specialty, the Seafood Combo Platter. I'm ashamed to admit that more than a few customers were missing a scallop or a shrimp when they got their orders.

Sundberg's was GREAT in the 50's & early 60's, but the long line outside to get in, especially after a long, hot day at the beach, seemed endless. Your line about the missing shrimp or scallops was too funny; I never thought of that possibility! LOL

Hmmmm..Is their kitchen UP to Health Department Code????

Personally, for me.. THAT would pertain to THEIR entire home as well...
AND their Personal Cleanliness ALSO!!

Seafood CAN spoil quickly from their home to your home..ARE game gonna RISK that CHANCE???
