ummm.. had ankle monitoring devices ? evidently its not working too well or is the probation officer too lazy to do his job. last time I knew if the unit indicates the subject is out of range it is a violation of parole and its a quick handcuffed one way trip to explain that to the judge to serve the rest of the sentence behind bars.

Well I don't know how the ankle monitor thing works here but a friend in Alaska, her son has one on. They have to call the monitoring company every week with her and her husbands work schedule, so they will know when the son is "allowed" off their property, BUT not by himself, only with mom or dad! He is NOT allowed nowhere around the area which the crime was committed or it goes off and wham, there's the call. Yes he also has to carry a phone provided by the company. The parents also have to let them know, in advance, any doctor appts or such because they have to travel to a different city. He is NOT allowed on the phone, home phone, cell phones, etc, except in an emergency ... the judge just ripped the company a new one because of the rule, NOT ALLOWED TO ANSWER OR MAKE CALLS. There was an emergency and he used the phone, then once the company called him so he answered the phone, caller id, and they took him to court. Yeah, some people, the company, didn't think that rule out too well. I believe it costs him around $150 a week for the monitor, yes a week, not a month. No one else can watch their son. So, yes mom and dad are tied down also, they cannot go out together without the son there, not even to their doc appointments. They take the dogs on a walk, the son is there, they go to the gym, the son is there, anywhere they go, the son is there. He's not a teenager, he is over 21, but soon his case will be heard and the outcome of his crime will not be pretty. NO, it wasn't murder, or a DUI, nor a mugging.

Now, that is strict monitoring and how it should be, not this 1000 yards bs, or whatever it is here.

Why not just electrify the monitors on people? They go out of range, shock the daylights out of them. Make the monitor braclet out of steel so they can't cut them off. They go somewhere where they are not suppose to be, shock em. pretty soon, with all the shocks they won't be able to walk anywhere, therefore not get into any more trouble nor hurt anyone else.

These kids, scums, all should be thrown in jail and not let out, no matter what. Society has already paid the price, twice on some of them, for their crimes. Obviously these little scums are NOT going to change.

These boys aren't worried because they know nothing much is going to be done about this or any thing else they do.
If they get locked up, so what, no big deal to them. They can sit in juvie and be considered heroes by the others in there because they are "bad." Actually, that's no different than adult prisons.
They go in there and it's one big party with their "homies." What once was hard time is now party tine.
Whose fault is it? Not mine. Not most people I can think of.
Who does tha leave? Hmmm, let's see. Must be the judges and politicians among others, and last but not least, the ACLU.
If anyone resists these punks and maybe shoot a couple of them, they will be in more trouble than they can ever think possible.

That's the deal down here... You have several gang bangers beat your a#@ and not too much will happen to them. Even if they dang near kill you. You can be a good samaritan and report a crime, follow the subjects til the police arrive, have them see you and attack you, shoot in self defense and go to jail... What are people to do down here. The only conclusion I can draw is that if I am out with my family and we are attacked. I better shoot to kill suspects and potential witnesses and get the h##l out of there before the vatos (VCSO, LLPD) get there. We may be sade if there is an SP unit close and can take over but they are spread very thin out here...
