You're the one that used him as a source. It's not my fault you don't have very good judgement. Blame yourself.

Synergy, certainly you aren't making the claim that all sources are created equal, are you?
For example:
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology says: "Global climate change is among the most pressing and important problem currently facing humanity. It is also unique by virtue of being a truly systemic problem of vast complexity: it affects every one of us, and is directly affected by every one of our actions. Like nothing else, dealing with climate change calls upon us to engage in effective collective decision making on a global scale."
Or, BigDave1's man Alex Jones says: "Imperial Probe Droids Are Real"
Which do you think is the more reliable source of information?
I used to work in a university and I bet you don't realize how much money in grants these professors and scientist get from Uncle Sam for certain studies and projects. Don't you think that these scientist want to keep getting their grant money? I could say all the studies in various university's are rigged and the results are all phoney to please the government so that these people can keep their jobs from year to year. That has been done before. I could say all studies are done this way just as you point to my articles and information. Think about that. Your MIT information might very well be false so a person or persons can keep getting their grants renewed. No results no money.

Cause of death Execution by lethal injection.
Location(s) Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, U.S.

Timothy James "Tim" McVeigh (April 23, 1968 – June 11, 2001) was an American terrorist who detonated a truck bomb in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995.
Commonly referred to as the Oklahoma City Bombing, the attack killed 168 people and injured over 800.[3] It was the deadliest act of terrorism within the United States prior to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks,[3] and remains the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in United States history.
McVeigh, a militia movement sympathizer sought revenge against the federal government for their handling of the Waco Siege, which ended in the deaths of 76 people exactly two years prior to the bombing, as well as for the Ruby Ridge incident in 1992.
McVeigh hoped to inspire a revolt against what he considered to be a tyrannical federal government. He was convicted of eleven federal offenses and sentenced to death
His execution took place on June 11, 2001 at the Federal Correctional Complex in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Timothy McVeigh - he actually believed this Right Wing Wacko nonsense - and over 968 Americans paid the price.
This really is a new low, even for you, but I guess you would also agree that the unabomber and Al Gore have a lot in common.

So, what IF you are wrong? Have you even considered that possibility?
Nice deflection from a conversation about source quality to a nebulous means nothing topic based on vapor?

What if YOU are wrong? Then we'd have a country where the economy tanked, rampant unemployment happened, deficits mount while the unregulated corporations and rich made insane profits, everybody else got kicked out of their house, and Wall Street went home with cardboard boxes under their arms. The middle-class disappearing with a declining standard of living. So - WHAT IF YOU ARE WRONG!

Oh! You were wrong. And all that happened. And you just kept on begging for the country to continue to support the failed policies that let to all that. You were wrong. And you didn't learn from it.

So back on topic: Are all sources equal? Does Alex Jones' unsupported opinion deserve the same weight as peer-reviewed scientific studies by MIT?

You know it doesn't! So let's not play that game that you keep trying where you complain that we believe our sources are right and your sources are wrong. It's not the person that presents the source the validates it, it's the respectability of the source itself that matters.

And Alex Jones ain't it.

Ok, you're having a real problem with logic. You don't like the solution so you claim the problem doesn't exist. It doesn't work like that. At this point the problem clearly exists. If you want to talk about different solutions, fine. Claiming the facts aren't there is insane.
<quoted text>
That's what's going on is it? Did Alex Jones tell you that? Show me the smoking gun that shows that "The government is trying to shut the country down." Was a bill passed? Or was this the result of a supreme court decision? Was a memo passed around? Which agencies are involved and when did they decide that? Forget the smoking gun, give me one sliver or real evidence? There is none because it's not happening. You're just making this crap up as you go along.
<quoted text>
Are you talking about Bill Gates, the former CEO of Microsoft that has recently donated $6 billion to fight measles, hepatitis B, rotavirus and AIDS, among others—is part of the largest, most human-driven philanthropy in the history of mankind? That Bill Gates? It doesn't sound like he wants most of mankind to die. I'd be really interested in you producing a source for this speech.
<quoted text>
Yeah. You've got it all figured out. All on your own there.
<quoted text>
Yep. It's every other person on the planet, not you, that is crazy.
Got it.
This could go on all night and I have been deathly sick for a week now. I am tired and going to bed.
This is all I could come up with at this time on Bill Gates Speech. I know you won't like the source, you never do, but I sat and listened to it on tv. It is real. I couldn't believe it myself when I heard it. I thought to myself that the man has lost his mind.
This is all the energy I have, so this will have to do.

Ok, let's let the source go for a moment. Read what it's talking about. Not ONCE did Bill Gates advocate eliminating mankind. He talked about population control through the use of contraceptives, and he only spoke about that in the context of an equation that showed ONE of several possible numbers had to go down to solve a problem.

No matter. It doesn't come anything close to what you're claiming he said.

However, it shouldn't be difficult to find a transcript of a Bill Gates speech. I couldn't find much mention of it except at your link. Odd, don't you think?

What a pathetic distortion.

Sure, it's the respectability of the source, however, if that respectable source doesn't support your political leanings, it suddenly doesn't seem so respectable. You libs are as guilty of that as anyone else.

Your first few paragraphs are interesting. Of course, libs blame it TOTALLY on Bush. Right? You do not blame ANY of what is happening now on Obama. None. That is why you all are so insane. You truly are. You know, this is the same crap over and over. It's Bush's fault and Obama is pristine. MY truth is that Bush made some bad decisions and it was time for him to go and Obama is a socialist and is intent on making as many people as he can totally dependent on the government. He promotes hated, divisiveness and all the ism's. I don't CARE if you agree or not. YOU and those like you will find out soon enough. Of course, if that lifestyle excites you, then you'll be very happy. Of course, you don't mind taking the rest of us down with you.

I have appreciated your posts on this, thanks. The agenda behind the man made global warming - oops, sorry - now it's "man made global climate change" push is so obvious, but no matter the evidence to the contrary, its devotees will not waver.

And regarding your absolutely spot on comments about the willingness of the less ethical to fraudulently skew data or even make it up for the purposes of notoriety or grants, the following is a link to an article about a Dutch psychologist who admitted last year to completely making up the data for which he received both renown, but more importantly grant money. He denies that his intent was selfish,(right) but it is probable that like many of the man made climate change adherents, his conclusion was the important thing - if data had to be skewed (or outright created) so be it, the greater good must be upheld.

Well, hopefully you are not like BigDave who completely denies science in one wholesale sweep of the arm.

I say that because of this little thing called "Time". As in "Space-Time Continuum." All of those things that I mentioned happened BEFORE Obama was in office, and due to the disputably linear nature of time from our perspective, it HAD to have been Bush's fault. At that "time" President of the United States of America Barack Obama was simply a junior-level Congressman from Illinois.

So you found 1 human scientist that faked his data in a completely unrelated field to what we are talking about.

What possible conclusions can we draw from that 1 instance?

1. All science is a fraud.
2. All science isn't a fraud, just science I don't like.
3. Some humans are dishonest.

I think logic says we're going to have go with option 3.

You are all so brainwashed. It's like an Obama cult. The craziest thing I have seen in my lifetime. That is why I just shake my head at you libs. Your incessant blame of Bush for Obama's failures will be your undoing. I must admit, I am beginning to get somewhat excited about the next election. At first, I thought Hillary would just walk in. Not any more. At this point, I don't think it will matter who runs against her on the conservative side. She won't win.
Which of Obama's policies are successful and different from Bush's?
