How is that a Police Chief can not tell that his son that is a reserve police commander and that lives with him not know that something like this was going on. With all the vast training and years of service Chief Hollowell could not know. Could he also be dirty like his son. With something like this going on how can he stay in as Chief. I mean really was his house searched I bet not.

Not sure what you are speaking of. Was this on the news or in the paper? What went on anyway?

Maybe the dad tipped off police.
Let's say your IQ is too low to finish school but your son is average and is accepted to college. Should he be held accoutable for you lack of intelligence?

Ok I don't know but if he had arrested anyone for meth did any get lost in the inventory? Are the cases that he was involved in that was meth related going to hold up in court? And what the hell can his dad say about not knowing that his son was doing this. Was the Chief covering it up for his son?

OMG really are you that stupid. Do you really think that his dad tipped them off. GET REAL PAPAW LOL He bought it from undercover state police. Why would a father turn his own son in and not try to get him help.

No dear, not quite as stupid as you. How do you know the parents haven't already tried helping him and failed?
Isn't methadone different from METHamphetamine?

I have lived in Clinton for over 40 years. I have seen a tune of things covered up in this town. It would not surprise me that the Chief was covering it up.

If that is true then the Chief should not have his job any longer. Because his son was still an active member of the reserve police. And I am sure that if he had tried to get him help then he would no longer be on the reserves. And his son has a very high IQ and did a lot of work on computers for the campus.

I didn't say it was a sure thing. I just asked how you knew without a doubt. None of us know what transpired. The parents could have been in the dark about it, they may have tried helping him, the Chief may have tipped off the state boys. Yes parents do that kind of thing when there is no other alternative, it's part of being a responsible parent.
So back to my question, do you know the differnence between the 2 drugs?

Yes I do no the differences between them both. It is illegal to buy any prescription drug. You do not buy them over the counter. But to me it sounds like you know the family well.

OK everyone you can not really tell me that his dad was not trying to hide that he knew what was going on. He has to much training not to know. He has been in law enforcement for over 20 some years.

Well you'd be wrong, I don't know them "well". If you actually read my comment it said "I didn't say it was a sure thing. I just asked how you knew without a doubt. None of us know what transpired."
Maybe you know them "well"?
What does that have to do with buying drugs?

Hollowell has over 30 yrs. in law enforcement. Started back in the 70's with CPD. Then moved to Sheriff's Dept. I believe he just retired from I.L.E.A last year to take the job as chief of police.
Bet he doesn't run for Vermillion County Sheriff now ! lol.

I do not believe for a minute that his dad did not know that his son was doing that. Something smells dirty here.

All of you might be right but an addict of any kind is sneaky. The son is a grown man with a full time job outside of the police department. Why would a father tailgate a son that age? Teens often fool parents. Alcoholics can hide their sins pretty well.
Was the son buying for personal use or to resell?

If a persons IQ is too low to finish school then they can always become a police officer. And we all know the police persons are almost never held accountable regardless of who fault something is. Helps when you live in a corrupt city like Clinton or Terra Haute.
