If one is born and raised in the LDS church (such a wasted childhood, 4 years of "forced" Seminary, all those YM/YW outings, being "forced" to sit on the podium and break the bread and reading a whole-hearted "Oh God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son....", etc. etc. etc.) and I leave the church (Done!) could I be considered anti-LDS?
I wonder if I could sue the LDS church for the harm it has done to me and the mental condition it has left me in (all those "interviews? with the Bishop asking me about my masturbation habits, etc.).
No one forced you to learn good things in church, just as not one forced you to choose to masturbation. Having left the church, do you feel free & guiltless in your masturbation now? Sue the church for them teaching you to live a moral life! And while in court, while your waiting for your case to be heard, it will be ironic if there's a rape case before yours. For the rape case & the victim could have been solved before it got started by living a moral life style. But then, you'll see the consequences that come about by not living Christ's teachings, fines, restoration fees, community service the court FORCES you to do, or go to jail. That's what the judge will dish out to the shop-lifters, rapists, & others that are caught not obeying the laws of the land that are derived from the basic commandments of thou shalt nots. Good luck in your case, as you tell the jury how you were deprived of the good things in life by "being forced," to hear the many thou shalt nots.

Not only do I feel guiltless when I masturbate, I also feel guiltless when a woman goes down on me. I feel guiltless when I go down on a woman. And I feel guiltless when I copulate!

Hi NoMo. My son is doing great. He is probably about 6'2" and humongous. My gf left me. I still can't figure out why she stayed with me for five years and then just brushed me off. Oh well, my kid didn't like her any way.

Nope, you lovely folks just stopped being relevant. Hate to break it to ya, but Mormons don't do a lot of hand-wringing about what a bunch of anonymous reprobates are saying about them in some obscure forum.

Huh. Makes one wonder why a good-standing Mo like yourself is posting on these boards defending the faith.

Why don't you and your Molly Mormon wife go make some Jell-O and watch some TV?

Last I checked this was forum about news items concerning The LDS church and it's surrounding sub-culture. Apparently this is a hate-speech only zone and I'm not allowed to post here. Well, better go and eat some green Jell-o...Just FYI, Iowa consumes more Jell-o than Utah.:)

Only a Mo(s) could do this:

In January 2001, the Utah Senate declared JELL-O® gelatin the “Official State Snack” of Utah, in an effort to recognize the popularity of the wiggly treat in the state. And, to celebrate, an annual “JELL-O® Week” was proclaimed (the second full week of February) by Governor Michael O. Leavitt. Spokesperson Bill Cosby came to Utah to share in a moment of levity with lawmakers in the State Capitol, and was made an honorary Utah citizen while he was there. More than 14,000 signatures from people in Utah were collected on a petition in support of the Official Snack designation.

You know, IOWA has a lot in common with Utah. No wonder they are called Idiots Out Wandering Around.

Obviously, most of you have not been in the LDS church. It sounds like most of you care nothing for rules either, yet I can almost guarantee that you have rules for your children and expect others to keep the rules of the workplace, roads, etc. Unless you have been in the LDS church, you don't know what you're talking about. They do expect so much. Getting out isn't as easy as you may think. If the harassing doesn't get you, then your conscience will. Sounds like many of you don't have any understanding of a conscience or sense of responsibility to something you believed in for so long. Don't judge unless you've walked in those shoes.

Tell me if a married LDS woman can get to heaven alone and I'll tell you about the cult of mormonism. Bow down woman!...your man is speaking!

A true and heartfelt relationship with the eternal
Lord Jesus Christ, instills in us the realization
that we are all sinners. By confessing our sins
whether in private or public we confess our desire
to be rid of those things which deprive us of becoming better human beings. "Man does not live by bread alone,"
To condemn any Church for our own shortcomings is
immature. We are all children of a loving Father
who welcomes us back into the human race like the homecoming of the pridigal son.
I am a returning Catholic. I am Catholic because it reveals to me the mystery of the Resurrection.
Christ had died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again. The emptiness and aloneness of intellectual athiesm is a dead end street that leads to a broken life full of nothing but failure,
blaming, anger and resentment. The true meaning of Christ's death is the love of God for man. "For
God so loved the world." It is our responsibility as people of Faith to become better human beings
and practise tolerance so the world we live in came become a better place.

Am I still in your prayers?

I hope not. Such a waste of you time.

P.T. Barnum said, "There's a sucker born every minute." Organized religion of any kind is the surest proof of that. But, who's to say one man's con can't be someone else's religion?

Im not a real relgious person but I respect everyones beliefs... to an extent.

I do wish (on my bad days) that they would take the seminary buildings away from the schools. I have one right outside my Government class window and it bothers the hell out of me. It is enticing the students to become mormon so they can get out of school for an hour. If they keep the buildings up then other religions should be able to leave as well and there should be more religious buildings outside that represent all religions.

It is a violation of seperation of church and state in my opinion.

If you want to celebrate your relgion do it away from the schools like everyone else!
