I wanted to take this moment to thank everyone from the community for the outpouring of support. So many times people have such negative things to say about our community..I am here to tell you firsthand that there are an abundance of kindhearted and caring people in this community. I cannot thank everyone enough for all the cards, prayers, meals, donations, food/gas cards, etc. It is because of all of you and the brotherhood of the fire departments that we were able to make it this far. Tonight was the first time in 33 days that we had dinner together as a family and that I watched my husband read my daughter a bedtime story. Your many prayers and healing words have worked miracles...Only 1 correction in this story-No lifts were installed on the stairs. I think she misunderstood-It was an electric recliner and a manual one so that he can keep his legs elevated and sleep comfortably.

Welcome home AC, good luck with your rehab and may you have a speedy recovery. You are one of a very few people that will somehow turn this into something positive, because that's what you do!! You are the epitomy of what a firefighter truly is and we are all proud of you, good luck and god speed!!

Now this is what community is all about. It shouldn't take someone getting hurt to bring a community together though. We need to live with our heart in our hands all the time. Thanks MOMS Club of C-Burg for steppin up. Hope we can raise lots of money for this family. GOD bless all of you...
