I hope and pray that he spends life in prison (because we know that no one has the balls to put the piece of s&^t to death) being some inmates little b*&ch for the rest of his natural life and I hope it hurts like hell every day.

arrogant, judgemental, and utterly loathsome. i am disgusted by so much of the insipid politics of that half of the state. it doesn't matter what families are involved, you all foster such resentment and despair in that place. no one helps it either. you allow that place to rot, and this is the sort of thing it yields. i know both families personally, and rather than casting blame without all actual details released, i am truly sorry for all involved.
my disgust, hate, and intolerance is leveled at those of you making barbed speculations and aiming your cruelty at the families.
I was born in Lake County, and left there only to return breifly and leave again!...the place has - "in my opinion" - been corrupt for as long as I can remember! Money buys justice-crime is rampant-DRUGS are rampant! I for one chose NOT to raise a family there-it is a dead end street! I wish something could be done about the "lawmen" in control of Lake County!(Over the years, I have seen the "lawmen" have NO CONTROL-or they are "bought" or "in on the deal".) It was a beautiful, peaceful, safe place when I was a child-Corruption rules now! WHO IS GOING TO CHANGE IT? DO ANY OF THE CITIZENS CARE, OR DO THEY FELL HELPLESS? I'd bet on they feel helpless!

You are pathetic!! what in the the gives you the right to say something like this? The Shells are dealing with the awful death of their parents and Regina has lost a son. No one on either side asked for this to happen. Both of these families are hurting and you need to keep your dumass comments to yourself!.My opinion!<quoted text>
No, Regina hasn't lost a son...he's still alive! "No matter what our kids do, we still love them-even if they were WRONG in their judgement!" WE have lost 2 of our family "elders" that were exceptionl mentors to us, and our younger generations! If Joshua "Hunter" Bargery did not act alone....I pray he brings his co-conspirators to justice! And I pray God and Justice prevails!

Not being from Lake Co. I don't know the Bargery's, are really care to. They don't mean shit to me. However, I do know the family of the Shells and they are really good people.
I say that since this piece of shit has confessed to the murder why even spend all the money on a trail and multiple appeals? Just stick his sorry ass in a 6' by 8' cell with the biggest, meanest queer, preferably one that has been looked up all by himself for years, and let him suffer daily for years to come. The death penalty is to kind for the waste of oxygen!
Or better yet, lock him in a room with the Shell family. Then maybe he will understand the concept of "an eye for an eye"

<quoted text> I'm sure he understands what it's like to lose someone you love. He lost someone very close to him that he loved dearly, his DAD, Wicky Bargery. That was years ago but I'm sure he's not forgotten the hurt & pain he felt and what he and his family endured. I pray that God gives both families the willpower, strength and courage to get through these trying times. God will prevail and justice will be served whether it be now on earth or when and (if) He gets to heaven. R.I.P. Mr. Clarence and Mrs. Sue. You were great Christian people and didn't deserve what happened to you. You will be truly missed.
hmmm thats why it says he should understand!

Yes, SOMEtimes a parent does the best they can do. But SOMEtimes a parent covers up, lies for kids, buys the kid's way out of trouble, is in denial that their child may have a problem. IS THAT HELPING the kid? or ENABLING the "kid" to fall deeper into trouble? Yes it is SAD and it is a SHAME this "kid" never got help! Sometimes kids need to "pay the piper" and face consequences for their own behavior-BEFORE something like this happens! This world is crazy! This "BOY" is only 20 yrs old....when did the parent STOP parenting?
im just saying unless his mom is right there helping him out and telling him to pull the trigger noone can blame her. exactly is 20 years old an "adult" able to make his own choices. you cannot help nor stop what your kids do when they are grown and no it is never ok to lie for your kids or pay their way out of things. i cant say for sure but i am almost certain that if my child murdered someone and i knew it i would probably be the first to squeal.

and as for everybody on here always talking bad about lake co NEWS FLASH every town in america is the same way. there are drugs and criminals in every town its is just more known here because everyone knows everybody. whatever town you live in it is there too. so say whatever you want. there are still good people that live in lake county too.

hunter doesn't turn his nose up at anyone. I'm considered a nobody and he was always good to me. I never saw a killer side to him. he doesn't have a rap sheet and he doesn't do meth. If ya'll supposed people who believe in HELL want to keep judging the Bargery family then you will burn in hell too. I pray for the Shell family and Bargery family. They have both had/have a tragedy happen to them. Instead of us condeming then we should Pray that Hunter understands what he did, feels a guilty conscience, that it weighs on his mind for the rest of his life, and that we all learn from this experience. Ms. Regina, granted she has turned her nose up at me, has lost a husband and her oldest son. Hunter may get the death penalty or life in prison and that is the same as losing a family member. his two younger brothers lost their big brother, the one they are supposed to look up 2. The shells have lost their parents and grandparents. They have lost people who raised them and loved them. No matter what the reason was, I agree, it was a senseless crime. Hunter doesn't deserve the judgement ya'll are giving him. That is God's position, not yours! Let God do the judging and the Justice system do the punishing. You all should pray this doesn't happen to another family, like yours! As you see, anyone can commit a crime. Maybe Lake County should reach out more to the youth and let them know they can talk to someone about their problems and help the ones that need a shoulder or ear. Maybe if the county would have done this the Cline boy wouldn't have murdered his family, hunter wouldn't have been involved in a senseless murder, kids wouldn't be wound up in drugs. Go ahead point the blame at the Bargerys', the county, the police, everyone but yoursleves. We should be more caring and have less hate. I blame all of us including myself. We should reach out to both families, they BOTH need emotional support.

He killed them because they could identify him! He went to their house to steal so that he could buy drugs. They let him in because they knew him-probably for his whole life. He didn't want to be arrested so he had to eliminate the witnesses. This scenario is probably pretty close to the truth.

Just another Battery that will get away! Some day the people of Lake County will get their $hit together and take their county back. For as long as I can remember Bargerys have always gotten a slap on the wrist. Surely you people didn't think that, Kim the thief was gonna get any time. She stole you guys money and there's nothing you can do about it. Get use to it! Now this young man killed these innocent people. Money will get him a slap on the wrist as well. Now if it was some low life, Bargerys would holla through the book at him. But once again, its one if them committing a crime. KARMA IS A BITCH!!! Shell family you are in my prayers but them Bargerys, run and tuck your head in shame. This boy should rot in hell, along with Kim the thief!!!

He didn't go to the house to steal anything, there was a lot more involved to it than that. He is a "Bargery" remember, all he has to do is hold a hand out. And if you want to say well Kim stole and she's a Bargery, She had the opportunity too so blame how the system was doing to let her do it. She was in total control to be able to do it and if they were monitoring her correctly it wouldn't have been so easy. She shouldn't get ALL of the blame. All Hunter had to do was go to his mom or grandfather and I'm sure they would have given him the money. But like I said it wasn't to steal there was A LOT more to it than that.
