Late in the evening on March 4, 2011, near midnight, Hunter Bargery, early 20's, was apprehended for possession of illegal substances and probable cause. Upon searching his vehicle, officials then found controlled substances. After being arrested and taken into the LCPD, the TBI questioned Bargery for the murder of Clarence and Sue Shell, who had been found dead in their home earlier that morning. Officials had already found the weapon used in the double murder prior to the questioning and one of the guns that was stolen from the victims home. Bargery confessed without question to the brutal murder of aforementioned deceased.

They are making the news and for as long as I can remember they have MADE THE LAWS!!! I hope that the name, BARGERY, will finally be seen for what it really is. Nothing more special than anyone else. No one is above the law and this family's reign should have been long over! Big fish syndrome. Good thing Lake County is such a small pond. Otherwise, they would have been shark chum a long time ago. Hope this boy runs into someone real special in prison.

this young man should have really understood what it is like to lose someone you love. it is really a sad thing that innocent people have to suffer because of someone elses stupidity. no it would definately not be the parents fault some people will not realize that all you can do is raise your kids and hope they go in the right direction and never say they wont do something.

Hey that's enough!!! This young man has a mother, brothers, and other family that did not have anything to do with what Hunter did or didn't do.... This needs to stop... For both families involved

I'm sure he understands what it's like to lose someone you love. He lost someone very close to him that he loved dearly, his DAD, Wicky Bargery. That was years ago but I'm sure he's not forgotten the hurt & pain he felt and what he and his family endured. I pray that God gives both families the willpower, strength and courage to get through these trying times. God will prevail and justice will be served whether it be now on earth or when and (if) He gets to heaven. R.I.P. Mr. Clarence and Mrs. Sue. You were great Christian people and didn't deserve what happened to you. You will be truly missed.

Not being from Lake Co. I don't know the Bargery's, are really care to. They don't mean shit to me. However, I do know the family of the Shells and they are really good people.

I say that since this piece of shit has confessed to the murder why even spend all the money on a trail and multiple appeals? Just stick his sorry ass in a 6' by 8' cell with the biggest, meanest queer, preferably one that has been looked up all by himself for years, and let him suffer daily for years to come. The death penalty is to kind for the waste of oxygen!

arrogant, judgemental, and utterly loathsome. i am disgusted by so much of the insipid politics of that half of the state. it doesn't matter what families are involved, you all foster such resentment and despair in that place. no one helps it either. you allow that place to rot, and this is the sort of thing it yields. i know both families personally, and rather than casting blame without all actual details released, i am truly sorry for all involved.

my disgust, hate, and intolerance is leveled at those of you making barbed speculations and aiming your cruelty at the families.

you know, it's sad that a whole family is dragged down because of what a couple of people did. It's pretty sorry to judge a whole family. And in case you didn't know, Sue was a Bargery. And all the good things people have said about her should also be said about almost all of us. This is an evil world we live in and the Bible predicts that families will turn on each other and the Love of many will turn cold. But it's really sad that nameless people will get on here and bash families that are going through such a hard time. I would thank you to look in your own back yard and leave ours alone. Maybe then you'll be so busy that you could leave us alone. And Regina certainly shouldn't be judged. she's been through enough and done the best she could. thanks
