I realize the writer was being sarcastic but I believe that we need to do something drastic, whether it is speed bumps, traffic lights, or increased police presence.

Yes, I KNOW that speed bumps can't be placed on highways. Yes, I KNOW that the city says they can't put up lights, it is the state; and that the state says they can't put up lights, it is the city. And, yes, I'm quite aware we can't afford an increased police presence.

However, speed is a tremendous issue in this little town, and the area between the mayor's house and My Place is dangerous. There has to be a solution of some kind. If it's a 15 mile an hour limit, so be it.
