I agree.

Once, talking with a friend from El Salvador, he told me this:
"That's the problem with you Mexicans. You always think that you will return home. You see...us Salvadoreños, Colombianos, Argentinos, Peruanos... once that we touch America, we plan to stay here. We buy our car, we buy our house, we plan on setting our own business. On the other hand, Mexicans keep thinking on returning back to Mexico. And never really make anything here."

And yes. I am still looking forward to return to Mexico.

Another thing.
Lots of Americans say that undocumented workers tap on public resources. I'd say most illegal workers are afraid to use any of those public resources. A lot of them would rather die before calling an ambulance (and sometimes that's exactly what they do).
And undocumented workers do pay taxes. Sales taxes at least. A lot get their taxes, medicare, etc, withold from their check.

Want a solution for the future medicare and social security crisis? Make undocumented workers legal. And tax them. And withold Social Security from them.
Most of them will return to their countries without collecting benefits. And that money will be well spent on American's benefits.

Thanks for adding your insight... sometimes people forget the Fear Factor and the actually follow through needed to complete many of those tasks...

We need to focus on correcting DHS and their careless spending, terrible work habits than battling people who work...

I totaly agree with you. I am an Immigrant from Peru who wants to stay here become an American because I love this country.
We are the true Immigrants who want to have the American dream and Freedoms but also legally and contribute to society like everyone else.

Sad that some ruin it for everyone who want the same.

I want to go back to mexico too. I remember when I use to grow up and everyday waking up around 12pm to fresh inchaladas. It was the most memarable time of my life. My mom use to always take care of me until we tried crossing the border the border patrol put holes in her. One day we all need to unite and over run the american government. The after party will consist of lots of taquila and nachos.

Adios

Why do all Mexicans want to return home? Do you think a lot/ most come here for reasons like you said, "to buy ranch and have plenty of money?" If anyone can respond to this question, please do....

But you just said they do want to go back???? Now you're saying they don't, they just want to change the laws here so they can screw 12 year-olds? Do they want to go back home or don't they? I'm sure there are many they do and many that don't, but you originally said they seek to make money here then return home. I don't think it has to do with drugs as it does with a better standard of living, after having earned money working in US to have a more comfortable existence back home? Is this true? DO you know anyone like this? I need info on this for school project.

Mexicans are the slaves to upper class Mexicans. And they find it easy to cross the border in to the United States so when it not as easy to cross in to the United States. Only then i hope will they decide that it may be in there best interest to fix there own government and improve there own country.

twinkie Says:

There are approximatly 12 million illegal aliens in this country and 7.2 million of them have jobs. They come into this country with no health check and diseases like tuburculosis that was irradicated in the US is on the rise again according to the CDC. They come here with no criminal background check, we have enough homegrown criminals without importing any. They drive with no licence or insurance and when they kill or maim someone, they run back to their prospective countries to avoid prosecution. Most do contract work and no taxes are taken out, they are given a 1099 at the end of the year which they never file. Our property taxes keep going up to build new schools because of overcrowding. Our childrens educational scores are steadily going down because having to teach in two languages takes more time. Americans apply for jobs and if they don’t speak Spanish, they are ineligible. Our healthcare system is overworked and we are losing valuable healthcare because of illegals with no insurance not paying their bills. Our welfare system is being abused because of illegals using stolen ID to obtain foodstamps, government houseing, etc. Identity theft is on the rise and Americans are paying thousands of dollars to reclaim their own identities. Illegals have marched in our streets while carrying flags of other countries. They have staged protest of our laws and boycotts of businesses that gave them jobs. Their pregnant women hurry to sneak across the US border so they can have their babies will be citizens of this country. They have radical groups who threaten America with taking all our Southwestern states. ICE arrested 125 illegal fugitives last month, they were from 28 different countries, not just Mexico. The Mexican people have yelled “Racist” while profiling all anti-illegal people as “White”. They sent 20 billion American dollars back to Mexico this past year alone. They tell us they do jobs Americans won’t do, Who did them before they got here? They counter the tax evasion argument with,“We pay sales tax on everything we buy.” I suppose they think Americans don’t pay sales tax.
Now for the religious aspect. The bible says render unto Caesar what is Caesars and render unto God what is Gods. God doesn’t want our money, he wants our souls. Caesar is government and government wants our money.
If you are married to an illegal, you made the choice to marry him or her, knowing that he or she was illegal. Don’t expect Americans to pick up the tab.
Report and Deport.

This is getting waaaayyyy off the topic folks...all I wanted to know was how many Mexican immigrants come to U.S. in order to earn enough money to go back home and build a profitable future for themselves and their families? I know all the "arguments" about Mexicans coming here and supposedly stealing our American shit, but come on people!!@!!!!! This country was founded on the notion that it was a free land open to all people. I'm not sure where in the consitition it talks about language, and food stamps and legal sex with 12-year-olds. That's a bunch of hear-say bullshit if you ask me. Mexicans are people if you don't know. I'm American (which you can tell because I can spell correctly) and I welcome them.

All I really want is info about Mexican immigrants who want to go back home and make a better life for their families and themselves.

IF you have info on that...PLEASE send. I don't need your rants about why they shouldn't be here. Get a life. ciao!

Land of the Free, does not mean Free Land to anyone who wants to take it while breaking our laws daily. I want a better life too. Suppose I just break into a bank and take all their money. Oops, I think I would end up in jail.
I welcome immigrants of any race, I do not welcome illegal aliens. If you will check the info in my earlier post regarding disease, breaking of laws, etc. I think you will find that I did the research before jumping to any conclusions.

I've heard the stories too about mexicans making money to send home to their loved ones or saving to buy a ranch. I haven't heard if they really want to go back or not...but they do miss their family. I think that is wonderful that they come here to better themselfs! Too bad some American families don't have the same heart and soul for their loved ones. I have also heard that they support each other and help them buy or rent a house as a group as well as a car...that they all share until they can afford the next one to go out on their own.
I have met some Mexicans people.(my neighbor was a mexican...he would smile and wave at me.I would smile and wave back..I couldn't speak Spanish)
I have felt sorry for Mexicans because they were here in the USA working for hardly nothing...for a Mexican (rich guy). Sometimes 10 or more men living together in a small bedroom house(field workers) until they get enough money to move out on their own and get their family with them.
Their boss gave them a house with no electric nor water to live in. They came to my house asking to borrow water in a bucket to wash themselfs. They couldn't afford or understand what to do. I did help them luckly my oldest son had learned to speak Spanish in school and could communicate with them.
The world is ever changing and it really doesn't matter if we like it or not...the world still goes on around us.
It does matter that these men some time loose their lifes just to be able to come to USA. For what? So we can talk bad about them and try to make them leave? People where is your compassion for others? Those of you that talk badly about Mexican people....have you really talked to them? or could you not speak or understand them? I think people reject those that they do not understand or that they can communicate with. Its common to turn your back on people that you don't want to see or understand...Take a hard look at yourself people...Put yourself in their shoes...How would you want to be treated if you were in a world like this one without your loved ones?

They need to find the ones who have children here make them come back and work and pay their childsupport, give them the papers they need and make them pay the taxes the right way. They want to support one family in Mexico and not the ones they created while in the U.S. when they were cheating on their wives or husbands.

Hello!
I live in Mexico City, I´m a high school mexican IB student & and I'm writing an essay myself about racism against mexicans from americans (that's how I found this forum...).
Anyway, I think the information you're looking for is going to be very hard to find, at least an exact number. AS you know, they are illegal (so obviously no one's counting them...). There isn't an exact number but you can find aproximations which tend to be very inexact (this based upon the differences, of several hundreds or even thousands, between them).
All the mexicans that go to the States (which most of the are illegal) want to go there in order to win money and enjoy a higher standard of living than they would here in mexico (this only applies towards people from lower classes). For higher classes going to the states to work is a sign of supperiority (this because USA doesn't offer Green Cards to any mexicans, except for the ones that seem to be "worth").
All of them go there because of that. Not because they enjoy being "bullied" around by racist americans.
And yes, I confirm your "thesis" about that information being only bullshit (no where not allowed, nor we want, to have sex with 12-y.o. people, and most of the other stuff they were writing in here).

Oohh & thanks for being so "comprehensive" with mexicans, but as you may nottice there are many of us who can write in english without misspelling anything.

Hope this will help you out.

honestly i think they should go back. americans work and pay bills, and can hardly afford gas for the week. mexicans pay bills and get to have money and go out and have fun. what is the deal

look! not because one mexican said that he came to United States just to work and that he is going to return to mexico doesn't mean anything. A lot of mexicans in this country have their own homes and families just like me. I'm a successful person and proud to be mexican american. Don't you ever judge a book by his cover. everyone think different..Thank you
