Those were the good ole days!!!! You faced a max. Fed. penalty of 5 yrs. for any amount of pot when I started. However, Barry, Slick, Riley,Harvey and others were prosecuted under CCE Fed. Statutes. Continuing Criminal Enterprise (848)which had a 10 yr. minimum sentence. Anybody heard from Cooper Walls or Woody Welch?
I went to PC with Woody Welch. I know he did some time but is he out now?

i was a close friend to Barry's younger brother Pat who passed away in 1995 , i have been trying to post a comment to this crappy site for about 2 years . ultimately i think Pat became collateral damage to the whole operation his brother was running. he became used to the lifestyle and it became his end . not blaming Barry or Rolex , we all make choices every day. i will always love you T.P. FOY !!!! TEDDY

What could be a more blatant example of the abuse of power and the waste of tax dollars than the government's continuing war on a simple plant that has incredible medical benefits and in no way represents a threat to people anywhere on this planet? Anyone against socialism should be against this unconstitutional intrusion of the government into individual Americans' private lives.
Marijuana dealing is nowhere near a victim less crime. Now, the use of it generally isn't harmful when considering the behavior it causes (as long as it's not laced with something synthetic), but the sale and distribution is very much different.

If you don't live here, you really don't realize the severity of the problem lately. Local law enforcement are basically the front line defense and the wranglers. They cannot dictate and change legislature. Even the judges at this level cannot change legislature. Just because they impose a particular punishment doesn't mean they personally agree with it. The particular sentence has to follow strict guidelines filtered down from the US Supreme Court, Congress, etc.

Please refocus on the real problem. Our Congress jerks who have no idea what life on the street is really like.
