Do we need a passport to travel us airways international flight from philadelphia to puertu rico?
No. It would be like flying to another U.S. state. If you desire to leave PR to another Caribbean destination, other than the U.S. Virgin Islands, you will need a passport to get back into Puerto Rico, but not from PR back to the mainland U.S.

I get you Mata !! I lived in the states from 1999-2003. While in Texas, a white guy asked me how long i`ve been living there; my reply was "since 1999". He then asked "How the hell did you get your green card so fast" and "What Highway do you use" ? He was promptly corrected by a New Yorker by telling him: "Hey Dumbass, they are American Citizens by birth since 1917" and they use "The Puertorrican Tunnel" lmao !!!

Frank,
Yes, I know what you have been through. In my many travels around the nation, I would run into the same thing. I remember while I was traveling through Knoxville, TN, the ticket agent requested a passport and I told her that I did not need one to travel to PR. She insisted that I needed something to leave USA territory to enter PR! LOL. I requested that I speak to her supervisor, even after I told her that PR was US territory and we were all U.S. Citizens. The supervisor cleared things up and I suggested that they needed to inform their folks that PR, USVI, American Samoa and Guam were all U.S. Territories. I also had someone tell me long ago why was I flying to PR and not driving there! LOL, sure proves how dumb some folks are when it comes to geography and U.S. history.
Well you did say Tennessee, didnt you? I wonder how that happened. It must have been the guy with the teeth sticking out his fore heads fault!

Try buying any medication in the U.S with a form from a doctor in PR. They will tell you they don't sell medication on medical forms from outside the U.S. This happened to me last year on a Shoprite in NJ.
