DJ France Feeds New European Economic Nationalism-Update
As a sluggish economic recovery has bolstered smaller nationalist political parties in European elections last month, the protectionist wave has spread beyond traditionally protectionist countries such as France to more liberal governments in Britain and Sweden, experts said.
Crucially, it has an anti-American tint, following last year's revelations that the U.S. National Security Agency had spied on European citizens.
"The NSA scandal is a factor," said one Brussels-based antitrust lawyer. "U.S. companies are innocent but they have somehow become the poster children for this."
Contributing to the mood are the investigations the EU has opened into tax deals struck by three multinationals in Europe, two of which --Apple and Starbucks--are American. The probes, which come amid mounting anger in Europe over the very low tax rates paid by some multinationals at a time of biting fiscal austerity, may expand to other companies, including Google Inc.

You are the ANUS TOUCH alright!

I hate to say "I told you so" but I told you so.

I was telling that moron HERE IS ONE years ago that eventually many countries round the world were going to start cracking down on US corporations, diminishing whatever tax advantages they gain by taking their operations overseas.

Pretty soon the only incentives some of these companies will have to move overseas will be the slave wages that you conservatives love so much.

Interesting......the obama admin. spies on her allies, so in return, the socialist allies punish corporations?
Very dopey logic from the entire socialist community.
