I am always look for a good or new dining experience in the area. I need some suggestions and am curious as to where others enjoy good food. It doesn't have to be pricey but decent quality. For a good burger I like Nobbys, Christian Michaels is good. For coffee and or pastry I like The Tin Roof. I have had the buffet at both casinos in Oroville, buffets are not my first choice but if you want a lot of calories they serve the purpose.

A good dining experience is a pretty subjective thing. When we lived in Silicon Valley it seems like we have dined in just about every restaurant in the Bay Area, so you can say we are dined out...

Nowadays we do mostly lunches. Nobbys hamburgers are hard to beat we also go to Pasta Productions, a little trattoria owned by the Christian Michaels folks across from the Raileys Shopping Center on East Ave, there is a nice Thai restaurant by the other Raileys by the Skyway.

There is always La Hacienda and a fairly decent Indian restaurant on the Esplanade opposite Tortilla Flats I think it is.

There is an all you can eat joint in the Safeways Mangrove Shopping center, sushi, the usual chinese fare and they now also have a Tibetan Style Barbecue grill...

Don't forget the Sierra Nevada Tap room...

I have been to Pasta Productions, if I want pasta that is the only place in town that I will go. I will have to check out the place across from the Mangrove Safeway. I have done Thai at the place up here in Paradise on Skyway, not sure if it is still open, it was pretty good.

I forgot about Hulas, it is pretty good.

Another two good spots is Grilla Bites in that fancy brick building on Cohasett by the Esplanade, they make a great Buffalo burger, a mean Thai burger and they have a good salad bar, but you pay by the pound, if that matters.

Also noteworthy is the Chinese restaurant Happy Garden, also on Cohasett by the Esplanade.

Hey Road Toa d...

How much do you think the restaurants you mentioned would have to charge for "drinking water" if the evil ENRON Corp. had succeeded in it's evil conspiracy to "corner the market on Drinking Water" that you claim to have inside information about...?

Wow...!

I'll bet that "Drinking Water" would go up to $20.00 or $30.00 a glass if the evil ENRON Corp. had gotten their way...!!!

You know... I even heard that Elmer Fudd was trying to corner the market on "Wascally Wabbits"...

Double Wow Road Toa d...!

It is sure a good thing that we all have such a self-righteous KNOW-IT-ALL like you to tell us about conspiracies like the evil ENRON Corp. trying to "corner the market on DRINKING WATER"...!

What would we all do without you "GRANDPA NICOLAI"...?

Hey Road Toa d...

How much money do you think these restaurants would be charging for a glass of drinking water if the Evil Conservative Republican ENRON Corp. has succeeded in their dastardly conspiracy to "corner the market on DRINKING WATER" that you said you knew all about...?

$20.00... maybe $30.00 for a glass of DRINKING WATER...?

Or do you think that the Evil Conservative Republican ENRON Corp. would have just "taken all the DRINKING WATER for themselves" and watch the rest of the world just die of thirst...?!!!

Wow...!!!

It is a good thing that you stopped this Evil Conspiracy...

You know...

To "corner the market on DRINKING WATER"...!

Sometimes you are SO FUNNY "GRANDPA NICOLAI"...!

LMAO...!!!

Yes, very good. Love good fish n chips.

What we need around here is a restaurant that serves Poutine. For those who don't know, Poutine is french fries, potatoes with peels, with cheese curds placed on top of the fries when they are hot and then topped with a good beef gravy. Delicious.

Where can a person purchase cheese curds in Butte county?

Thanks. I will have a look today. Poutine would go good with what I am making today.
