Tea Party Solution

As you know, I am actually a Tea Party member. I just pretend to believe in the great AGW conspiracy. And I argue against trickle-down economics, and against tax breaks for the super wealthy, and against de-regulation of the corporate titans, etc., etc.--- but I do so only to provoke intelligent rebuttals from those who are actually on my side, from people like Godfrey, Local, Infantile Liberals, Sam, and all the others.

And my little game really works! Just look at the smart, fact based, well written responses that I get! In post after post my pretend liberal viewpoints are knocked out of the park by the astute conservatives in these blogs. And often my cohorts will sum up my (pretend) faulty viewpoints with hilarious name-calling and great putdowns. How could I have asked for better responses?

Now, about Syria, of course Iím against any kind of US intervention. Sure, I supported invading Iraq and Afghanistan, and I usually would welcome going into Syria, Iran, and any other country I donít like. After all, this is America, and we donít let anyone push us around. We need to show our strength, and to hell with the UN.

I know that our last presidential candidate, Romney, had also said that Syriaís use of chemical weapons would mandate intervention. And I know that McCain, our previous candidate, wants wholeheartedly to go into Syria.

And to be honest, if it was a President Romney who wanted to intervene Iíd be all for it, as would most of the republicans in congress. But this is NOT a republican president. This is the president we hate the most of all timeóthis is the Kenyan, Muslim, Socialist, Marxist, Nazi, Dictator, Anti-ChristóObama. WE didnít elect this traitor. And heís not, uhh, one of us. Heís NOT OUR president.

So it doesnít matter that the Syrians are gassing their people. It doesnít matter that Americaís standing in the world will diminish by saying no to intervention. It doesnít matter if Iran or Korea get the message that we are now an ineffective super power.

All that matters is that Obama is defeated. Because every time Obamaís defeated we feel victorious.

Where do you now stand on going to war with Syria?

As I said before, I'm waiting to see what happens. But because the Syrians are now agreeing to give up their chemical weapons arsenals, we should certainly keep the heat on... even if that means the Tbaggers need to go along with Obama and act like we're ready to take action.

Obama got the Syrians thinking that we're a threat. We all need to keep the heat on, for the sake of the Syrians, our country, and the world.

That was definitely an astute move on President Obama's part....

First convince the Syrians and the Russians that we mean business and second work out a deal with Putin to get the Syrians to surrender their nerve gas....

If the Syrians comply with the agreement it will be an all around win for all concerned....

Agreed.
Let's hope it will not be another "saddam hide and seek" game with the Syrian Gubmint.
some arabs are known for their treachery, in fact, they pride themselves on performing treachery successfully.
If they can promise something without there being consequences, they will do so and then laugh as they go ahead and do whatever they want.
They only understand brute power and action, however, brute power and action haven't phased them either......they have taken the beating and adapted to another M.O.
Eventually, the treacherous, throat cutting radical muslims will win complete control over the region. Everything that we(the world) has done over the last 60 years to civilize the mid east has changed nothing....it remains a total mess with different groups morphing and doing the same things....over and over again.
Trying to change some of the arab groups into civilized human beings is like trying to change a cat into a dog......it isn't ever going to happen. I am convinced that my last statement is true.

Everybody wins ? They've replaced nerve gas with regular bombs as the innocent they set out to save are still being killed.
While the diplomatic wrangling was under way in far-flung capitals, Assad's warplanes bombed rebellious districts inside the Damascus city limits on Tuesday for the first time since the August 21 poison gas attacks.

I agree with most of your post-- in Syria the opposition is made up of many terrorists and strict fundamentalists. And like Ruth pointed out, just getting rid of chemical weapons does not solve their war. But it is a start, and at least Russia is on our side. IF this isn't just a delaying tactic.

pathological nicoliar:
He who lies constantly only for attention. they lie about the most simple things. exaggerates the situation to the point of fiction, and does need serious mental help.

And 'God' help us all!
I just watched oblamer pathologically lie on TV about him and his Syria debacle!
oblamer? Is also a pathological liar!!!

Why do you liberals lie? All the time? About everything?
It's a pathetically sad scenerio!

Adolf Obama is telling more of delusional fairy tales about his imaginary leadership while his liberal media "presstitutes" continues to print and report more lies that America's Fuhrer has saved the world from a crisis. The saddest part is that the liberals believe this lie like Obozo believes his own fantasies. The entire world knows that Obama and the Democrats are too weak, indecisive, and unable to do anything except posture.

Democratic Party Chair Heartbroken by Kids Killed in Syria, But Supports Abortion.
In a poignant summary of her opinion that U.S. involvement is necessary, the congresswoman said the following:

As a mother, to me, I have an indelible searing imprint on my mind after seeing the pictures of those babies lined up. We have a moral responsibility to respond.

It is an unimaginable tragedy and utter injustice that hundreds of Syrian children appear to have died at the hands of the man who is designated to look out for their welfare. Wasserman Shultz overlooked fundamental flaw in her argument when she observed Americaís moral responsibility to respond: Wasserman Shultz has spent her career ensuring that chemical and other forms of death continue to be protected by law and carried out on the babies in her own country.

You see, Wasserman Shultz has an extended track record of voting against the rights of American children by working to further abortion and research rights that endanger and ensure the end of millions of innocent young lives.

Grandpa, I know you are much too smart to believe that. Put ideology aside for a moment.
